Of all the ways of monetizing Articles, my favorite Strategy is To create and sell electronic products like learning materials and design templates. I have found that it is extraordinarily profitable than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a much greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and this post I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip experience as a vendor for 2+ years. Aldiko
My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own site, you’ll need a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your goods, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives customers with the simplest tools and options for hosting and promoting products to their clients online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of them previously.
Having A stage that is so simple to use and one that does not require a massive amount of my time is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which is a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero fees asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a item.
- Access to analytics reports.
- Access to marketing tools. You have the option to create Societal and Coupons discounts.
- Capability to signup, handle and reward your own affiliates.
- Access to product sharing tools. Plus you can embed Your merchandise and Buy Now buttons directly on your own site or blog.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your account, and if you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications whenever a sale happens. Aldiko
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. It’s also great to awake in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers card with Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the cash is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or setup charges — only a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an page That lets you view transactions and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given selection. On top of that, it is a report that is really straightforward and to-the-point.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you are immediately smacked in the face with can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is Promotions to conduct by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They can run for any duration you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be useful. Occasionally I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook raise the post targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Aldiko
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and whenever someone buys a product using their custom affiliate link, you are able to award them a commission of whatever percent you would like.
This is useful since it allows Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be worth it and should they have an audience of their own and a stage that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email marketing, you’ll be Able to easily incorporate Payhip with your email marketing supplier that is chosen so that a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address could be added to a listing that is selected.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a mention — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Publication then make it publicly accessible for free somewhere else, they’ll need to be fine with their private email address being accessible. I believe that’s a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is not just a market for ebooks — You can upload any kind of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your website looks. People do not trust websites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been updated because the net 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned construction and placing my payment info to it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Website has a easy and very contemporary layout. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a business In the event that you should purchase a product on the internet. Aldiko
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the very moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning that your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are large, successful companies with lots of money to invest on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a mobile app. It would be convenient to have the ability to start an app while I’m out and about, and have a look through my data. The site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you may log into the site and do this.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a very Lousy look in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a website optimized for mobile, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually register in every time they want to inspect sales information. Permit users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an ability to indicate Other products. If they are buying a package of templates for $5, I propose some other product that could interest them that they previously didn’t know about, or might offer a package of business card templates to get a couple of extra bucks. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can not help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip experience for both the vendor and the customer.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I had still Prefer to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve BST was set to by the working timezone for the entire site. Since I am found in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 earnings for the day since Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own information reveals that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, however I Would love to see that the ability to adjust the site. Aldiko
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not perfect, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the only promotion You’re able to run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount from the initial price, or the capability to set a specified sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to put a $27 merchandise Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to determine what percentage off would leave the last cost at $10. I think this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced alternatives which include —
- Make your product private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a couple of preview.
- To how many copies of your product or market can be, Insert a limitation amount sold.
- Create a license key that is unique .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or even host your products. The website takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a happy customer, but whether or not you should use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you have a huge audience or sell a high-ticket product and know that you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you want to decide on Gumroad or look into some alternative. That is dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so be sure that you crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Aldiko
