Background Amazon Kindle
Of All of the ways of monetizing content that is blog, my method is Such as studying materials and design templates to create and sell products. I’ve discovered that it’s extraordinarily more profitable than running advertisements and products convert at a higher rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this post I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip expertise for a seller for two + years. Amazon Kindle
My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to market products Through your own website, you are going to need a means to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, cover it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides users with options and the simplest tools for hosting and selling products straight to their customers online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a couple of these previously.
Having A stage that is so easy to use and one that doesn’t take a massive amount of my time is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time too because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip include –
- EU VAT is cared for, which can be a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per transaction when you sell a product.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my 2 year Payhip experience, Here Is What I really like about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is immediately available in your account, and in case you have the PayPal and also Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale happens. Amazon Kindle
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets old. It’s also great to awake in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see that you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the cash is available. This is Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip originally sold me is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — only a simple flat charge of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and that I was not positive that I was likely to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a small audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best fit my situation.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you see trades and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other given selection. On top of that, it’s a report.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you’re instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it’s mostly useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you are there to see — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is Promotions to conduct by producing coupon codes.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I have found this to be useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook, then boost the post targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Amazon Kindle
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to grant someone buys a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be worth it, and should they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be, if you’re into advertising Able to integrate Payhip with your email advertising supplier that is preferred so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added into a selected listing.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Book make it publicly available for free they will need to be fine with their email address being publicly accessible. I believe that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t just a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload just about any sort of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your site looks. People don’t trust myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 days, I start to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned building and placing my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a layout that is simple and very contemporary. This is exactly what you would expect a checkout page from a business to appear like if you should buy a product on the world wide web. Amazon Kindle
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. From the second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the crucial info (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I actually enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they are big, successful companies with lots of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a mobile program. It’d be convenient to have the ability to start an app while I’m out and around, and take a look. You may log in to the website and do so, but the website is optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but that is a very Lousy appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own program so users do not have to manually sign in every time they want to inspect sales data. Users of Payhip experience a better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an capability that is Extra to suggest Other products. If they’re purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, I propose, or might offer a package of business card templates for a few dollars. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do well.
I can not help but feel like there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this operation. This could improve the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they have The working timezone for the website place to BST. Since I am found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its data reflects that.
Again, this is mostly a non-issue, however I Would love to see that the ability to correct the site to your timezone. Amazon Kindle
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature earlier, but it is not perfect just yet.
As it currently stands, the only promotion You’re able to run through a coupon code is to get a percentage off. I’d love to have the ability to supply a dollar amount off the initial cost, or the capability to set a sale price.
At the moment, if I want to put a product On sale for $10, manually do the math to figure out what percent off would leave the last price at $10 and I have to break out the calculator. I think this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Publish a sample or preview pages.
- Add a limitation number to how many copies of your product or eBook could be sold.
- Create a unique license key .
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or host your products. The site takes just 5% commission per trade fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a satisfied customer, but whether you ought to use it depends upon your situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. If you have a massive audience or sell a high-ticket merchandise and know that you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you might want to look into something.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling $1,000 a month in total quantity, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you want to go with Gumroad or start looking into some other choice. That is all largely dependent on how many transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers so make sure that you crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am really grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Amazon Kindle
