Introduction Best Place To Sell Your Ebook
Of All of the ways of Creating content that is blog, my method is To make and sell digital products like learning layout templates and materials. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements and products convert at a higher speed compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this post I’ll be sharing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip expertise for a seller for 2+ years. My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to sell products Through your own website, you’ll want a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, cover it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that gives customers with the simplest tools and options for hosting and promoting products to their customers online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a couple of them previously.
For me, having A stage that is easy to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my valuable time is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time too because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which can be a big plus in my book.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. Following my 2 year Payhip experience, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they do not pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is instantly available on your account, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the cash is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — only a simple flat charge of 5% per sale.
This was appealing to me in 2016 Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given range. On top of that, it is a report that is very simple and to-the-point.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you’re immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless too. Payhip just gives you exactly what you are there to view — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is The capacity to conduct promotions by creating coupon codes.
The codes can be for almost any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever length you’d like (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I have found this to be useful. Sometimes I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook boost the post targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Best Place To Sell Your Ebook
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award if someone buys a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be well worth it and should they have an audience of their own and a platform that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you are into email marketing Able to readily incorporate Payhip with your email advertising provider so that if a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address can be added into a list that is selected.
This is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you can have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Book make it available for free they will need to be okay with their personal email address being publicly available. I think that’s a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is not just a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload just about any sort of digital file. Font files, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is your site appears. People don’t trust websites which appear outdated, myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded since the web 2.0 days, I begin to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned building and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is simple and very modern. This is exactly what you would anticipate a checkout page from a trusted company if you were to purchase a product on the internet. Best Place To Sell Your Ebook
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical info (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Finally, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning that your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they are large, successful companies with lots of money to invest on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a mobile app. It would be convenient to be able to open an app while I am out and around, and take a look. The website isn’t optimized for mobile devices, although you do this and can log into the site.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in each time they would like to inspect sales information. Permit users of Payhip experience a platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability that is added to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is about to buy. If they are purchasing a package of templates for $5, I might provide a package of business card templates or propose. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can not help but feel as though there’s a lot of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this operation. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have The functioning timezone for the site set to BST. Since I’m found in the EST, I will sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own data reflects that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, but I Would like to observe the ability to adjust the website to your timezone. Best Place To Sell Your Ebook
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature earlier, but it is not quite perfect just yet.
As it currently stands, the only promotion You can run through a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I want to put a merchandise On sale for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percentage off will render the last price. I think that is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced options including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a couple of preview.
- To the number of copies of your product or eBook can be, Insert a limitation amount sold.
- Create a license key that is unique .
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or even host your products. The site takes only 5% commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a client, but whether or not you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. In case you know that you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales each month and market a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience, you might want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you are probably going to need to go with Gumroad or start looking into another choice. That is dependent on how many transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers, however, so make sure to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am very thankful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Best Place To Sell Your Ebook
