Of All of the ways of Creating Articles, my Strategy is To create and sell products like studying materials and design templates. I have discovered that it is extraordinarily more profitable than running ads from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a greater speed than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this article I will be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience as a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Experience
If you have ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you are going to need a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives users with the tools and options for promoting digital products straight to their clients and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a few of them previously.
For me, having A stage that is really easy to use and one that does not take a massive amount of my time that is precious is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per transaction when you sell a product.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to advertising tools. You have the option to create Coupons and social discounts.
- Capability to signup, handle and reward your own affiliates.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my two year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the service…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available on your accounts, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is new never gets older. It’s also good to awake in the morning, reach for your phone, and also see you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card with Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the cash is available. That is all Stripe however — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there is no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me back in 2016 Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and that I wasn’t positive I was going to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a small crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you view transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other given selection. Best of all, it’s a report that is simple and to-the-point.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you are instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is By producing coupon codes promotions to run.
The codes can be for almost any percentage you’d Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever duration you’d like (or even indefinitely,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I have found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then boost the post targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Bit Lit
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award, if someone purchases a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be worthwhile and should they have a platform and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be, if you’re into marketing Able to readily incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing supplier that is chosen so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added to a list.
This is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication subsequently make it available for free they’ll have to be okay with their email address being publicly available as well. I think that’s a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any sort of file. Font documents, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how current your website appears. People don’t trust myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been upgraded since the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and placing my payment information into it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design that is very modern and simple. This is what you’d expect a checkout page from a trusted company if you should buy a digital product on the world wide web. Bit Lit
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its In general simplicity. In the second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I really like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is totally managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way as they are large, successful companies with a lot of money to spend on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not have a app. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I am out and around, and have a look during my sales data. The site is optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and may log in to the site.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a really Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own app so users don’t have to manually sign in every time they want to check sales information. Users of Payhip experience a better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an capability that is Extra to suggest Other products similar to what the client is going to buy. For example, if they’re buying a package of templates for $5, then I suggest, or could offer a package of business card templates for a couple of extra bucks. This is something which sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel as though there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the vendor and the customer.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Prefer to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have BST was set to by The functioning timezone for the website. Since I’m found in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its own information reveals that.
This is a non-issue, however I Would like to observe the ability to adjust the site. Bit Lit
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it is not quite perfect.
As it stands, the advertising You’re able to run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d love to be able to supply a dollar amount to set a specified sale price.
Right Now, if I want to put a merchandise On sale for $10, do the math to figure out what percentage off would leave the cost at $10 and I have to break out the calculator. I think this is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish a few preview or sample pages.
- Insert a limitation number to how many copies of eBook or your product could be sold.
- Create a license key that is unique .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your products. The site takes just 5% commission per trade fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a customer, but whether or not you ought to use it depends upon your own situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. In case you sell a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be promoting less than $1,000 per month in total quantity, the mathematics should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you need to go with Gumroad or look into some choice. That is all largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers though, so make certain that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am thankful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Bit Lit
