Intro Digital Electronics Book
Of all the ways of monetizing content that is blog, my favorite method is Such as studying layout templates and materials, to create and sell digital products. I have found that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running ads and products convert at a much higher rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and this article I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip expertise as a seller for 2+ years. My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you’ll want a way to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives users with options and the simplest tools for promoting products to their customers and hosting online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a few of them previously.
Having A platform that is simple to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time that is valuable is of paramount significance.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. Following my 2 year Payhip experience, here’s what I love about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your accounts, and if you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale occurs. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the money is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per sale.
This was attractive to me back Since, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other given selection. Best of all, it is a report that is to-the-point and very straightforward.
If you’ve ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you are instantly smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is The capacity to run promotions by producing coupon codes.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any length you want (or even indefinitely,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I have found this to be very useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook raise the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Digital Electronics Book
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award them a commission of whatever percent you’d like someone buys a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be worthwhile and should they have an audience of their own and a platform they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you are into email marketing Able to readily incorporate Payhip with your email advertising supplier that is chosen so that if a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address could be added to a list that is chosen.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you so desire, you can have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication subsequently make it publicly accessible for free somewhere else, they’ll need to be okay with their email address being accessible as well. I think that’s a very creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload just about any sort of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way present your site looks. Individuals generally do not trust sites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 days, I begin to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned construction and placing my payment info to it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is very contemporary and simple. If you should purchase a product this is exactly what you would expect a checkout page from a trusted business to appear like. Digital Electronics Book
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its In general simplicity. In the very second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial info (such as price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they are big, successful companies with a lot of money to spend on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a program. It would be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and around, and take a look. The site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you can log in to the site and do this.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Lousy appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a website optimized for mobile, and when you have that, you ought to be able to easily turn the site itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually register in each time they would like to check sales information. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an added capability to indicate Other products similar to what the client is about to purchase. If they are buying a package of templates for $5, I suggest some other product which could interest them that they didn’t know about, or might offer a package of business card templates to get a few extra dollars. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do well.
I can’t help but feel as though there’s a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — with no operation. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the customer and the seller.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I had still Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they have The functioning timezone for the entire website set to BST. Since I’m located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its information reflects that.
This is mostly a non-issue, but I Would like to see the ability to correct the site. Digital Electronics Book
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not quite perfect, although code feature earlier.
As it now stands, the only advertising You’re able to run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d love to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to put a merchandise Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percentage off would leave the last price. I think that is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced alternatives including —
- Make your product personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a few preview.
- To the number of copies of your product or eBook could be, Insert a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key .
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or even host your products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a customer, but whether you should use it depends on your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and market a high-ticket product or have a massive audience, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be selling $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you need to decide on Gumroad or look into another alternative. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so make sure to crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Digital Electronics Book
