Intro Digital Products Marketplace Direct Payment
Of All of the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my method is To create and sell products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a much greater speed compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The service I use to ease this can be Payhip, and this post I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip expertise as a seller for two + years. My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own site, you’ll need a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your goods, cover it, and have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives customers with solutions and the tools for selling products to their clients and hosting online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a few of them in the past.
For me personally, having A platform that is easy to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my valuable time is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. Following my 2 year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your account, and in case you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale happens. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a brand new sale never gets old. In addition, it is great to wake up in the morning, reach for your phone, and also see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold until the cash is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money at all.
No Monthly Charges
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me is that there’s no Monthly fees or setup charges — only a simple flat fee of 5 percent per sale.
This was attractive to me Since, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or some other specified range. On top of that, it is a report that is to-the-point and straightforward.
If you’ve ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it’s largely useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you’re there to view — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is The capacity to conduct promotions by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you’d like (or even permanently,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be very helpful. Sometimes I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then boost the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People truly do respond well to limited time offers. Digital Products Marketplace Direct Payment
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to grant them a commission of whatever percentage you’d like whenever someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows people To sell your products for you, and if they have a platform and an audience of their own they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worthwhile.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be if you’re into email marketing Able to incorporate Payhip with your chosen email marketing provider so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added to a selected listing.
That is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you can have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Book make it accessible for free somewhere else, they will need to be fine with their email address being accessible as well. I think that’s a creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any kind of file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how current your website looks. Individuals do not trust sites that appear outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated because the net 2.0 days, I start to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned building and placing my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is very contemporary and simple. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page by a company if you were to buy a digital product on the world wide web. Digital Products Marketplace Direct Payment
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way because they are big companies with a lot of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I’m out and around and take a look. You may log into the website and do so, but the site isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a website optimized for mobile, and when you’ve got that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own app so users do not need to manually register in every time they would like to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would like to see an added capability to indicate Other products similar to what the client is about to purchase. If they’re purchasing a package of logo templates for $5, I propose, or could offer a bundle of business card templates for a few added dollars. This is something which websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do well.
I can not help but feel as though there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this operation. This may enhance the Payhip encounter for both the client and the seller.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was set to by The functioning timezone for the whole site. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 earnings for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its information reflects that.
This is largely a non-issue, however I Would love to observe that the capability to adjust the website. Digital Products Marketplace Direct Payment
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature but it’s not perfect yet.
As it stands, the sole promotion You’re able to run via a coupon code. I’d like to be able to supply a dollar amount off the price, or the ability to set a sale price that is specified.
Right Now, if I want to put a product that is $27 On sale for $10, manually do the math to determine what percent off will render the last price at $10 and I must break out the calculator. I think that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a few preview or sample pages.
- To how many copies of your product or market could be, add a limit amount sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional for each of your product/eBook sales.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or host your electronic products. The site takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether or not you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. In case you market a product that is high-ticket or have a massive audience and know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month, you may want to look into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be promoting $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you need to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some choice. That is dependent on how many transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers so make sure that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am grateful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Digital Products Marketplace Direct Payment
