Intro Digital Self-Harm
Of All of the ways of Creating content that is blog, my favorite Strategy is Like studying materials and design templates to make and sell products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a greater rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and this article I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. Digital Self-Harm
My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to market products Through your own site, you’ll want a way to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your goods, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives users with the tools and options for selling products to their clients and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a few of these previously.
For me personally, having A platform that is simple to use and one that doesn’t take a massive amount of my valuable time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time too because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip include –

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two + year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I really like about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is instantly available in your account, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale occurs. Digital Self-Harm
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is great to awake in the morning, reach for your phone, and also see you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the money is available. This is all Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your money at all.
No Monthly Charges
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5% per purchase .
This was appealing to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to view transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, month, week, year, or some other given selection. Best of all, it is a very simple and to-the-point report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you’re immediately smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it’s largely useless also. Payhip just gives you what you are there to view — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is The ability to conduct promotions by producing coupon codes.
The codes may be Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for any length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I have found this to be very useful. Sometimes I will conduct a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People truly do respond to limited time offers. Digital Self-Harm
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and whenever someone purchases a product you can grant them a commission of whatever percentage you would like.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To market your products the commissions paid will be well worthwhile, and if they have a platform and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you’re into advertising Able to easily incorporate Payhip along with your chosen email advertising supplier so that if a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added to a listing that is selected.
That is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you can have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they will need to be fine with their private email address being accessible. I believe that is a creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip isn’t just a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any sort of digital file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your site appears. Individuals don’t trust sites that look obsolete, myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded because the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it would pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a layout. This is exactly what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a trusted company to appear like if you should buy a digital product on the world wide web. Digital Self-Harm
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the very second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way because they are big companies with a lot of money to invest on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a app. It would be convenient to be able to start an app while I’m out and around and take a look during my earnings data. You may log into the site and do this, but the website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a website optimized for cellular, and once you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually sign in every time they would like to check sales information. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they’re on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an added capability to suggest Other products. If they’re buying a package of templates for $5, I propose some other similar product that may interest them that they previously didn’t know about, or might offer a package of business card templates for a couple of added dollars. This is something which sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel as though there’s a Great Deal of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this operation. This could improve the Payhip encounter for both the vendor and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve The functioning timezone for the site place to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its information reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to observe the capability to adjust the site. Digital Self-Harm
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature earlier, but it’s not perfect yet.
As it now stands, the promotion You can run through a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price that is predetermined.
Right Now, if I Need to place a merchandise that is $27 Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percentage off will render the cost. I believe this is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced options which include —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a couple of preview or sample pages.
- Add a limitation amount to how many copies of your product or eBook could be sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional .
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or even host your products. The website takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a satisfied customer, but whether or not you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. However, in case you know that you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a high-ticket product or have a huge audience, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into another choice. That is largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so be sure to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am really thankful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Digital Self-Harm
