Introduction Digital Selling Machine
Of All of the ways of monetizing blog Articles, my method is Like learning materials and design templates to create and sell digital products. I’ve found that it is extraordinarily more profitable than running ads from networks like AdSense, and self-made products convert at a significantly higher speed compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and this post I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip experience for a vendor for 2+ years. My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own site, you’ll want a means to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An that provides users with options and the simplest tools for hosting and promoting electronic products to their clients online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of these in the past.
Having A platform that is really simple to use and one that doesn’t take a massive amount of my valuable time is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip include –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a big plus in my book.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. Following my 2 year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, and they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the cash is immediately available on your account, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale occurs. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is great to awake in the morning, reach for your phone, and also see that you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the money is available. This is all Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money at all.
No Monthly Charges
One of the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or setup charges — only a simple flat charge of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I wasn’t positive I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best fit my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an page That lets you see transactions and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or any other given range. Best of all, it is a to-the-point and straightforward report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is The ability to run promotions.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any duration you’d like (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook boost the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Digital Selling Machine
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you can grant them a commission of whatever percent you’d like someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows other people To market your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be well worth it, and if they have a stage and an audience of their own that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you are into advertising Able to easily incorporate Payhip along with your preferred email advertising supplier so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added to a chosen list.
This is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication then make it accessible for free somewhere else, they will have to be okay with their personal email address being publicly available also. I believe that is a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t just a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how current your site appears. People do not trust sites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been upgraded because the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Site has a layout. This is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page from a business, In the event that you should buy a merchandise on the world wide web. Digital Selling Machine
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I actually enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way because they’re successful companies with a lot of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a mobile app. It would be convenient to be able to open an app and have a look while I’m out and around. The website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and may log in to the website.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for mobile, and once you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own app so users do not need to manually register in each time they would like to check sales data. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they’re on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an capability to indicate Other products similar to what the client is going to buy. If they are purchasing a bundle of templates for $5, I suggest, or might provide a bundle of business card templates for a few bucks. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do well.
I can not help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no operation. This may enhance the Payhip encounter for both the customer and the vendor.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I Prefer to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve The working timezone for the site place to BST. Since I am found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 sales for the day because Payhip thinks it is midnight and its own data reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, but I Would love to observe the capability to correct the site to your timezone. Digital Selling Machine
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it is not quite perfect.
As it stands, the advertising You can run through a voucher code is for a percent off. Ideally, I’d love to have the ability to offer a dollar amount from the original price, or the ability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
Right Now, if I Need to place a product On sale for $10, manually do the math to figure out what percent off will render the final price and I must break out the calculator. I think that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative options including —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a few preview or sample pages.
- To how many copies of your product or market can be, add a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key .
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your digital products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a customer, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you market a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a massive audience and know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you might want to check into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be promoting $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably need to decide on Gumroad or look into another choice. That is all dependent on how many transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers though, so be certain that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Digital Selling Machine
