Of All of the ways of Creating Articles, my method is Such as learning design templates and materials to make and sell products. I have found that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running ads and self explanatory products convert at a much higher rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this post I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip experience as a vendor for two + years. Digitalproducts
My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to market products Through your own website, you’ll need a means to facilitate trades — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives customers with solutions and the tools for selling digital products to their clients and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a couple of them previously.
Having A platform that is so simple to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my precious time is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time too because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which is a big plus in my book.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the details. After my 2+ year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they do not pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clean some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is instantly available on your account, and if you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale happens. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets older. It’s also great to awake in the morning, reach to your phone, and also see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card with Stripe, there will be a 3 day hold before the money is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Charges
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there is no Monthly charges or installation charges — only a simple flat charge of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me in 2016 Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I wasn’t positive that I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a small crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or some other specified range. On top of that, it is a really straightforward and to-the-point report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you’re instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just gives you what you’re there to view — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is By creating coupon codes promotions to conduct.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any duration you’d like (or even permanently,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I have found this to be very helpful. Sometimes I’ll conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Digitalproducts
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and whenever someone purchases a product using their customized affiliate link, you are able to award them a commission of whatever percentage you would like.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be worth it and should they have an audience of their own and a platform that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you’re into email advertising, you’ll be Able to integrate Payhip with your email advertising provider that is chosen so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added into a listing.
This is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a mention — if you desire, you can have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address to the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication make it accessible for free somewhere else, they will have to be fine with their personal email address being publicly accessible. I believe that is a creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload just about any kind of file. Font files, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how current your website appears. Individuals generally don’t trust websites that appear outdated, myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned building and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a design. This is exactly what you’d anticipate a checkout page by a trusted company if you were to buy a digital product on the internet. Digitalproducts
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and only the crucial info (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I actually enjoy about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment info, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way because they are large companies with lots of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t possess a mobile app. It would be convenient to be able to start an app while I’m out and around, and have a look during my sales data. The site isn’t optimized for mobile devices, although you do this and can log in to the website.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Bad look in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you have that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own app so users do not need to manually register in each time they would like to check sales information. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they’re on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an ability to suggest Other products. If they’re buying a package of logo templates for $5, I might offer a package of business card templates to get a couple of bucks, or propose. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do.
I can not help but feel as though there’s a lot of money Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This could enhance the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the customer.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they have The timezone for the whole website place to BST. Since I’m located in the EST, I will sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 sales for the day because Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own information reflects that.
This is a non-issue, however I Would like to observe that the ability to correct the website to your timezone. Digitalproducts
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It’s not quite perfect just yet, although code feature earlier.
As it currently stands, the sole advertising You’re able to run via a voucher code. I’d love to be able to offer a dollar amount from the initial price, or the capability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
At the moment, if I want to place a merchandise On sale for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percent off will leave the cost. I believe that is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced options which include —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a couple of preview.
- Insert a limit number to the number of copies of eBook or your product could be sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional for each of your product/eBook revenue.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your electronic products. The site takes just 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a client, but whether you ought to use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, if you know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and market a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a huge audience, you might want to look into something.
As of this date of this writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be selling less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you want to go with Gumroad or start looking into another choice. That is all largely dependent on how many transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers, however, so be sure that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am very grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Digitalproducts
