Intro Facebook Marketplace
Of all the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my Strategy is Like learning design templates and materials, to create and sell products. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running ads from networks such as AdSense, and self explanatory products convert at a significantly greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this post I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip expertise as a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Experience
If you have ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own site, you are going to need a means to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, pay for it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides users with options and the easiest tools for hosting and selling products to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of these previously.
Having A stage that is easy to use and one that does not require a massive amount of my time is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per transaction when you sell a digital item.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to advertising tools. You have the option to create Societal and Coupons discounts.
- Ability to signup, manage and reward your own affiliates.
- Access to product sharing programs . Plus you can embed Buy and your merchandise Now buttons directly on your own site or blog.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. Following my two + year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clean some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available in your account, and if you have the PayPal and also Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications whenever a sale occurs. Facebook Marketplace
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is new never gets older. In addition, it is great to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and also see that you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold until the cash is available. This is all Stripe however — Payhip doesn’t hold your money at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or setup charges — only a simple flat charge of 5% per sale.
This was appealing to me Because, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive I was going to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you view transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other given selection. Best of all, it’s a report that is to-the-point and really simple.
If you’ve ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are instantly smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is The capacity to conduct promotions.
The codes can be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They can run for any duration you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be helpful. Occasionally I’ll run a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People truly do respond to limited time offers. Facebook Marketplace
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and if someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link, you can grant them a commission of whatever percent you’d like.
This is useful because it allows other people To sell your merchandise for you, and if they have a stage and an audience of their own that they can tap to, the commissions paid will be worthwhile.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you’re into email marketing, you will be Able to readily integrate Payhip along with your email advertising provider that is chosen so that if a purchase is made, the purchaser’s email address can be added into a selected listing.
This is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address into the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Book then make it publicly available for free they’ll have to be fine with their personal email address being available as well. I think that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — You can upload any sort of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way current your website appears. Individuals generally don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 days, I begin to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and placing my payment information into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Site has a design that is easy and very contemporary. If you should buy a digital merchandise on the world wide web, this is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page from a company. Facebook Marketplace
Another thing I like about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the very second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and only the crucial information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Finally, what I really enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is completely managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way because they are successful companies with a lot of money to invest on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a mobile program. It would be convenient to be able to open an app while I am out and around, and take a look through my data. The site isn’t optimized for mobile devices, although you can log in to the website and do so.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a really Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a website optimized for cellular, and once you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users do not need to manually register in each time they would like to check sales information. Let users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an ability that is added to suggest Other products. If they’re purchasing a package of logo templates for $5, I could offer a bundle of business card templates or suggest some other product that may interest them that they didn’t know about. This is something that sites like VistaPrint and Amazon do very well.
I can’t help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no operation. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Like to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have The functioning timezone for the website place to BST. Since I am found in the EST, I will sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day because Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own data reflects that.
This is a non-issue, however I Would love to observe that the ability to correct the website. Facebook Marketplace
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not quite perfect, although code feature earlier.
As it stands, the sole advertising You can run through a coupon code. I’d love to have the ability to offer a dollar amount from the original cost, or the ability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
At the moment, if I Need to put a merchandise Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percent off will render the last cost. I believe that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced options including —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a few preview.
- To the number of copies of your product or market could be add a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key for all your product/eBook sales.
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or host your digital products. The website takes only 5% commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a customer, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your own situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a product or have a huge audience, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be selling less than $1,000 per month in total quantity, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. This is dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so make certain that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am thankful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Facebook Marketplace
