Of All of the ways of Creating blog content, my favorite method is Like learning design templates and materials, to make and sell products. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running ads and self-made products convert at a greater speed compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. Gumroad
My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to market products Through your own site, you’ll need a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, pay for it, and have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides customers with the tools and solutions for promoting digital products straight to their customers and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a couple of them in the past.
Having A stage that is easy to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my time that is precious is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save you a lot of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the details. Following my 2 year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clean some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your accounts, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale happens. Gumroad
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets older. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and see you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the cash is available. That is all Stripe however — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or setup charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per sale.
This was attractive to me Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best fit my scenario.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given range. On top of that, it is a report that is very simple and to-the-point.
If you’ve ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are instantly smacked in the face with can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it’s mostly useless too. Payhip just gives you exactly what you’re there to see — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is Promotions to conduct by producing coupon codes.
The codes may be for any percentage you would Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever duration you want (or even indefinitely,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I have found this to be useful. Sometimes I will run a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook, then boost the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People truly do respond well to limited time offers. Gumroad
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and you can award, whenever someone buys a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be worth it and should they have a platform and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into advertising, you will be Able to easily integrate Payhip with your preferred email marketing supplier so that a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address can be added to a chosen list.
That is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free they’ll need to be okay with their email address being publicly available as well. I believe that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — You can upload any sort of digital file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how present your site looks. People generally don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and placing my payment info into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design. This is exactly what you would expect a checkout page from a business to appear like, In the event that you were to buy a digital merchandise on the internet. Gumroad
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical info (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I really enjoy about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment info, meaning that your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they are big companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app and have a look during my data while I’m out and about. The website is optimized for mobile devices, although you may log in to the site and do so.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a really Bad look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not have to manually register in each time they want to inspect sales information. Let users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an ability that is added to indicate Other products. If they are buying a package of logo templates for $5, then I could provide a package of business card templates to get a couple of dollars, or propose some other similar product that may interest them that they didn’t know about. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do well.
I can not help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip experience for both the client and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located at London, they have BST was set to by the working timezone for the site. Since I’m found in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 earnings for the day because Payhip thinks it is midnight and its information reflects that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, but I Would love to observe the capability to correct the site to your timezone. Gumroad
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It’s not perfect just yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it currently stands, the promotion You can run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d love to be able to supply a dollar amount to set a predetermined sale price.
At the moment, if I want to put a product On sale for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to determine what percentage off would leave the last cost at $10. I think this is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your product private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a preview.
- Insert a limit amount to how many copies of market or your product could be sold.
- Create a license key .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or even host your products. The site takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a customer, but whether you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and market a high-ticket product or have a massive audience, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be promoting $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or look into some other choice. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am very thankful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Gumroad
