Intro How To Sell Your Digital Art
Of all the ways of Creating blog content, my method is Like learning materials and design templates to create and sell products. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a higher rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this article I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip experience as a vendor for 2+ years. My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own website, you’ll want a way to facilitate trades — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives users with the simplest tools and solutions for hosting and promoting products straight to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a few of these previously.
For me, having A platform that is easy to use and one that does not take a massive amount of my time that is valuable is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time too because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip include –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero charges asides From 5% per trade when you sell a digital product.
- Access to analytics reports.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the details. Following my 2+ year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your account, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets old. In addition, it is good to wake up in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold until the cash is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Fees
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — only a simple flat fee of 5% per sale.
This was attractive to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive I was going to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best fit my scenario.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to see trades and earnings amounts relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other specified selection. Best of all, it is a really straightforward and to-the-point report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re immediately smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you are there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is Promotions to conduct by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you’d like (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I have found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then raise the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. How To Sell Your Digital Art
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you can award whenever someone buys a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows other Men and Women To market your merchandise the commissions paid will be well worth it and if they have an audience of their own and a stage that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be if you are into advertising Able to easily integrate Payhip with your email marketing provider that is chosen so that if a sale is made, the buyer’s email address can be added to a list.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Book make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they will have to be okay with their email address being available as well. I believe that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any kind of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how current your website looks. People generally don’t trust myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded since the net 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Website has a very modern and easy design. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page by a trusted business if you should buy a product on the world wide web. How To Sell Your Digital Art
Another thing I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning that your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are successful companies with a lot of cash to spend on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I’m out and about, and have a look. The site is optimized for mobile devices, although you may log in to the site and do this.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users do not need to manually register in each time they want to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they are on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an ability that is added to suggest Other products. By way of instance, if they are purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, then I suggest some other similar product which may interest them they didn’t know about, or might offer a bundle of business card templates for a couple of dollars. This is something that sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do very well.
I can’t help but feel like there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — without this operation. This may enhance the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was set to by the working timezone for the whole website. Since I am located in the EST, I will sometimes check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 sales for the day because Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its own information reflects that.
This is largely a non-issue, however I Would like to observe the ability to correct the website to your timezone. How To Sell Your Digital Art
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not perfect just yet, although code feature earlier.
As it stands, the sole advertising You can run via a voucher code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price.
At the moment, if I want to place a product Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percentage off would render the cost at $10. I believe that is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your product private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a preview.
- To how many copies of market or your product could be, Insert a limit number sold.
- Generate a license key .
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you to establish or even host your products. The site takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a client, but whether you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, in case you have a massive audience or sell a high-ticket product and know that you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you might want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you need to go with Gumroad or look into another alternative. This is mostly dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so make certain that you crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. How To Sell Your Digital Art
