Intro Kindle App
Of All of the ways of monetizing blog Articles, my method is Such as learning materials and layout templates, to make and sell digital products. I’ve discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running ads and products convert at a higher speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and this article I’ll be sharing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip expertise for a seller for two + years. Kindle App
My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to market digital products Through your own site, you are going to need a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives users with options and the simplest tools for hosting and selling digital products directly to their clients online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a couple of these in the past.
For me, having A stage that is really easy to use and one that doesn’t require a massive amount of my time is of utmost importance.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my 2 year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the service…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available on your account, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications each time a sale happens. Kindle App
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets old. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there will be a 3 day hold before the money is available. That is Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your money at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me is that there is no Monthly charges or installation charges — only a simple flat charge of 5% per sale.
This was attractive to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I wasn’t positive I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best fit my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to see transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given selection. Best of all, it’s a report that is to-the-point and very simple.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless too. Payhip just provides you what you are there to view — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is By producing coupon codes, promotions to conduct.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be somewhat helpful. Sometimes I’ll conduct a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook, then raise the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Kindle App
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award them a commission of whatever percentage you would like someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be well worthwhile, and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be if you are into advertising Able to easily integrate Payhip with your email marketing supplier that is preferred so that whenever a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added into a listing that is chosen.
This is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you can have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Book subsequently make it accessible for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be fine with their private email address being publicly accessible also. I think that is a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload just about any kind of file. Font documents, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way present your site looks. Individuals don’t trust websites that look outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated because the web 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a layout. If you should buy a digital merchandise on the internet, this is what you’d expect a checkout page from a business to appear like. Kindle App
Another thing I like about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical info (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning that your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they are big companies with a lot of money to spend on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t possess a mobile program. It would be convenient to be able to start an app while I’m out and about, and take a look during my data. The website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you may log into the website and do this.
I like Payhip, but that is a very Lousy appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not have to manually sign in each time they would like to check sales information. Permit users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an ability to suggest Other products. By way of example, if they are purchasing a bundle of templates for $5, I propose some other similar product that may interest them they previously didn’t know about, or could offer a package of business card templates to get a few extra bucks. This is something that sites like VistaPrint and Amazon do quite well.
I can not help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money Table — for myself and Payhip — with no operation. This could improve the Payhip encounter for both the client and the seller.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they have The timezone for the website place to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 earnings for the day because Payhip believes it is midnight and its own information reflects that.
This is a non-issue, however I Would love to see that the ability to correct the website. Kindle App
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it’s not quite perfect.
As it stands, the promotion You can run via a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount from the cost, or the ability to set a sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to place a $27 merchandise On sale for $10, do the math to figure out what percentage off would render the final price and I have to break out the calculator. I believe that is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives including —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a few preview.
- To how many copies of market or your product can be, add a limitation amount sold.
- Generate a license key that is exceptional for each of your product/eBook revenue.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or host your products. The site takes only 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a satisfied customer, but whether you ought to use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, in case you know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales each month and market a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of this date of this writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 per month in total quantity, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other choice. This is largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so make certain to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am very grateful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Kindle App
