Background Kobo App
Of all the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my Strategy is To create and sell digital products like learning design templates and materials. I have discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements and products convert at a greater rate compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. Kobo App
My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to market products Through your own site, you’ll want a way to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that gives customers with the easiest tools and solutions for hosting and promoting digital products straight to their clients online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a few of them previously.
For me, having A stage that is really easy to use and one that doesn’t take a massive amount of my time is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save you a lot of time also because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per transaction when you sell a product.
- Accessibility to analytics accounts.
- Access to marketing tools. You have the option to make Coupons and societal discounts.
- Ability to signup, manage and reward your own affiliates.
- Access to merchandise sharing tools. Plus it is possible to embed Your product and purchase Now buttons on blog or your own site.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two + year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available in your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets old. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the money is available. This is Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your money at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — only a simple flat fee of 5% per sale.
This was appealing to me in 2016 Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was likely to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That enables you to see trades and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or some other specified range. Best of all, it’s a report.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you are immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it’s mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is By producing coupon codes promotions to run.
The codes may be for almost any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I have found this to be somewhat helpful. Occasionally I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook raise the post targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Kobo App
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you are able to award, whenever someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows people To market your products the commissions paid will be worthwhile and if they have an audience of their own and a stage they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be if you are into marketing Able to easily integrate Payhip along with your email advertising supplier so that whenever a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address could be added into a chosen listing.
This is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address into the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Publication subsequently make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be okay with their private email address being publicly accessible. I think that’s a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — You can upload virtually any sort of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way present your website looks. People generally do not trust websites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated because the net 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and placing my payment info to it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a business In the event that you were to buy a digital product on the world wide web. Kobo App
Another thing I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial information (like price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Eventually, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they are big, successful companies with a lot of cash to invest on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not possess a program. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I’m out and about and have a look during my data. You can log into the website and do so, but the site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and when you have that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually register in each time they want to check sales information. Let users of Payhip experience a better platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability that is Extra to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is going to purchase. If they are buying a bundle of templates for $5, then I propose, or might offer a bundle of business card templates for a few extra bucks. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do quite well.
I can’t help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I had still Like to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve The timezone for the whole site set to BST. Since I’m located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 sales for the day since Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its information reflects that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, however I Would like to see the capability to adjust the website. Kobo App
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it is not quite perfect just yet.
As it now stands, the advertising You can run via a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount from the original price, or the capability to set a predetermined sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to place a product On sale for $10, manually do the math to determine what percentage off would render the last cost at $10 and I must break out the calculator. I think that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives including —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a preview.
- To how many copies of your product or market can be, Insert a limit number sold.
- Generate a license key that is exceptional for all your product/eBook revenue.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or host your electronic products. The site takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether you should use it depends upon your situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. In case you know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month and sell a high-ticket merchandise or have a massive audience, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you’ll probably want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other choice. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers, however, so be sure that you crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Kobo App
