Of all the ways of Creating Articles, my Strategy is Like studying design templates and materials, to make and sell digital products. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily more profitable than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a much higher rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip experience as a seller for two + years. Mantano
My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to market digital products Through your own site, you are going to need a means to facilitate trades — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, pay for it, and have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives customers with options and the tools for hosting and promoting digital products to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a few of these previously.
Having A platform that is simple to use and one that doesn’t require a massive amount of my time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per transaction when you sell a digital item.
- Access to analytics reports.
- Access to advertising tools. You have the option to create Social and coupons discounts.
- Ability to signup, handle and reward your affiliates.
- Access to merchandise sharing programs . Plus you can embed Purchase and your merchandise Now buttons directly on blog or your own website.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. Following my two year Payhip experience, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available on your accounts, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale happens. Mantano
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets older. In addition, it is great to awake in the morning, reach to your phone, and also see you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the cash is available. This is all Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip originally sold me is that there is no Monthly fees or installation charges — only a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and I wasn’t positive that I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a small audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best fit my scenario.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an page That lets you see trades and earnings amounts relative to this day, month, week, year, or any other specified selection. On top of that, it’s a to-the-point and straightforward report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are immediately smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you’re there to see — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is By creating coupon codes promotions to conduct.
The codes can be for any percentage you would Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even indefinitely,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I have found this to be helpful. Occasionally I’ll run a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People truly do respond to limited time offers. Mantano
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you can award, someone purchases a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products for you, and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be worthwhile.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you’re into marketing Able to readily integrate Payhip along with your email marketing provider so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added into a listing that is chosen.
This is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you can have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Book then make it publicly accessible for free somewhere else, they will need to be okay with their personal email address being publicly accessible. I believe that’s a really creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a market for ebooks — You can upload any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your website appears. People generally do not trust sites that look obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a simple and very modern design. This is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page by a trusted business to look like, In the event that you were to purchase a merchandise on the world wide web. Mantano
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its In general simplicity. From the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I enjoy about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment information, meaning that your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is completely handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are successful companies with a lot of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not have a app. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I’m out and about, and take a look. You do so and can log into the website, but the website is optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Lousy appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users don’t have to manually sign in each time they would like to check sales data. Users of Payhip encounter a better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an capability that is Extra to suggest Other products similar to what the client is about to purchase. If they’re purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, I suggest some other similar product which may interest them they didn’t know about, or might provide a bundle of business card templates for a couple of dollars. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do very well.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the vendor and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they’ve The working timezone for the entire website place to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it is midnight and its data reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would like to see that the capability to adjust the website to your own timezone. Mantano
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature but it’s not perfect.
As it now stands, the advertising You can run through a coupon code is to get a percentage off. Ideally, I’d love to be able to offer a dollar amount from the original price, or the ability to set a sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to place a $27 merchandise Available for $10, manually do the math to determine what percent off would leave the final cost and I have to break out the calculator. I believe this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced alternatives which include —
- Make your product private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a few preview.
- Insert a limitation amount to how many copies of market or your product can be sold.
- Generate a exceptional license key for each of your product/eBook sales.
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or even host your digital products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a happy client, but whether or not you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, in case you have a massive audience or market a high-ticket merchandise and know that you’ll do at least $1,000 in sales each month, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be selling less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you need to decide on Gumroad or start looking into another choice. That is largely dependent on how many transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers though, so make sure that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Mantano
