Of all the ways of Creating Articles, my Strategy is Like studying layout templates and materials to make and sell products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running advertisements from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and in this post I will be sharing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip expertise for a vendor for 2+ years. Megareader
My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own site, you are going to need a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, pay for it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An that gives users with the tools and solutions for selling products to their customers and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of these previously.
Having A platform that is so simple to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my valuable time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time too because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, which is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero charges asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a item.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my 2+ year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I love about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available in your account, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications whenever a sale occurs. Megareader
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets old. It’s also great to awake in the morning, reach for your telephone, and also see that you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the money is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me back in 2016 Because, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was likely to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That enables you to view trades and earnings quantities relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other given range. On top of that, it is a report.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you are instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless too. Payhip just gives you what you’re there to view — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is By creating coupon codes, promotions to run.
The codes may be for almost any percentage you would Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They can run for any length you’d like (or even indefinitely,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be very useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then boost the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Megareader
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and if someone buys a product using their customized affiliate link, you are able to grant them a commission of whatever percentage you would like.
This is useful since it allows Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be well worthwhile and should they have an audience of their own and a stage they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you’re into email advertising Able to integrate Payhip along with your email marketing supplier so that a sale is made, the buyer’s email address can be added into a list that is chosen.
That is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Book make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll need to be fine with their email address being accessible. I believe that’s a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any sort of file. Font documents, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way current your site looks. Individuals do not trust websites which look obsolete, myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded since the web 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information to it would pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is simple and very contemporary. If you were to buy a merchandise on the internet, this is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page by a trusted company to appear like. Megareader
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning that your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way because they’re big, successful companies with a lot of cash to spend on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t possess a app. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app and have a look while I’m out and around. The website is optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and can log in to the site.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself right into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in every time they would like to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an added capability to indicate Other products. By way of instance, if they’re buying a package of logo templates for $5, I propose, or could provide a package of business card templates to get a few extra dollars. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no operation. This may enhance the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I Like to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they have BST was set to by The functioning timezone for the whole site. Since I’m found in the EST, I will occasionally check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 sales for the day because Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its information reflects that.
Again, this is a non-issue, but I Would like to observe the ability to adjust the site to your own timezone. Megareader
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature earlier, but it is not perfect.
As it now stands, the sole promotion You can run through a coupon code is to get a percentage off. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount off the original cost, or the capability to set a sale price.
Right Now, if I want to place a product Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percent off would leave the price at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a couple of sample or preview pages.
- To how many copies of market or your product could be add a limitation number sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or host your electronic products. The site takes only 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a satisfied customer, but whether you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you have a huge audience or market a product and know you’ll do at least $1,000 in sales every month, you might want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be promoting less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you want to go with Gumroad or look into some other alternative. That is largely dependent on the number of transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am thankful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Megareader
