Of all the ways of Creating content that is blog, my method is Like learning materials and design templates, to make and sell products. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily profitable than running ads from networks such as AdSense, and self-made products convert at a higher speed than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip expertise for a vendor for two + years. Myebook
My Payhip Expertise
If you have ever wanted to market digital products Through your own site, you’ll need a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your product, pay for it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives users with the simplest tools and solutions for hosting and selling electronic products directly to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a few of them in the past.
For me personally, having A platform that is easy to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time that is valuable is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, which can be a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero fees asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a product.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to marketing tools. You have the option to create Social and Coupons discounts.
- Capability to signup, handle and reward your affiliates.
- Access to merchandise sharing tools. Plus it is possible to embed Your product and Buy Now buttons right on blog or your own website.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. Following my two + year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications each time a sale happens. Myebook
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. It’s also good to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and also see that you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers card with Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the cash is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me is that there’s no Monthly charges or setup charges — only a simple flat charge of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me Since, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a small audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best fit my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That enables you to see transactions and earnings quantities relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other given range. On top of that, it’s a to-the-point and really straightforward report.
If you have ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you’re immediately smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is The capacity to conduct promotions.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for any length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook boost the article targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People really do respond well to limited time offers. Myebook
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you can grant whenever someone buys a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows other people To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be well worth it and should they have an audience of their own and a stage that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you’re into marketing, you’ll be Able to integrate Payhip with your email marketing supplier that is chosen so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added to a listing.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Book make it publicly accessible for free they’ll have to be fine with their personal email address being accessible. I think that is a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any sort of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is your website appears. Individuals generally do not trust myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 days, I start to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned building and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design that is easy and very contemporary. This is what you would expect a checkout page by a trusted business if you were to purchase a digital product on the internet. Myebook
Another thing I like about Payhip is its In general simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and only the critical info (like price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they’re successful companies with lots of cash to invest on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app and take a look while I am out and around. The site is optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and can log in to the website.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a very Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own program so users don’t need to manually register in every time they would like to check sales information. Users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an added capability to suggest Other products similar to what the customer is going to buy. For example, if they’re buying a bundle of logo templates for $5, I suggest, or could offer a bundle of business card templates for a couple of added dollars. This is something which sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can not help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I Prefer to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve The working timezone for the site set to BST. Since I’m found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it is midnight and its own information reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to see that the ability to adjust the site to your timezone. Myebook
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature earlier, but it is not perfect.
As it stands, the promotion You can run through a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount off the cost, or the capability to set a sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to place a $27 merchandise On sale for $10, manually do the math to determine what percent off will leave the final price and I have to break out the calculator. I believe that is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced alternatives including —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a preview.
- Add a limitation number to the number of copies of your product or market could be sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique for each of your product/eBook sales.
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or even host your electronic products. The website takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a customer, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your own situation.
If you’re a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, if you know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales each month and market a high-ticket merchandise or have a massive audience, you may want to look into something most cost effective.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you are probably going to need to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some choice. That is all largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so be sure to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am thankful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Myebook
