Intro Payhip Logos
Of all the ways of Creating content, my favorite method is To create and sell products like studying materials and layout templates. I have found that it’s extraordinarily more profitable than running advertisements from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a higher rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and this post I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience as a seller for 2+ years. Payhip Logos
My Payhip Expertise
If you have ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you’ll want a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, cover it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An that provides users with options and the tools for hosting and selling products directly to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a few of these previously.
Having A platform that is so easy to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which can be a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero fees asides From 5 percent per trade when you sell a digital product.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the details. Following my 2 year Payhip expertise, here’s what I love about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets old. It’s also good to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and also see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients card with Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold until the cash is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me is that there’s no Monthly charges or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5 percent per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was likely to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to view trades and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given range. On top of that, it’s a to-the-point and simple report.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you are instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it’s largely useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you are there to see — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is By creating coupon codes promotions to run.
The codes may be for any percentage you would Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever duration you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Sometimes I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook, then boost the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Payhip Logos
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and if someone buys a product using their customized affiliate link, you are able to award them a commission of whatever percent you’d like.
This is useful because it allows other people To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be well worth it, and should they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be, if you are into marketing Able to incorporate Payhip with your email advertising provider so that if a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address can be added to a selected list.
This is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Book make it publicly accessible for free they will have to be fine with their email address being accessible. I believe that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload virtually any kind of file. Font documents, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how current your website appears. People do not trust sites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the net 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is easy and very modern. This is what you would expect a checkout page by a company In the event that you were to buy a digital merchandise on the world wide web. Payhip Logos
Another thing I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the crucial info (such as price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I really enjoy about Payhip is That they do not store customer payment info, meaning your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they are big, successful companies with a lot of cash to invest on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It would be convenient to be able to open an app while I am out and around and have a look through my sales data. The site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and may log into the website.
I like Payhip, but this is a very Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own program so users don’t need to manually register in each time they want to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they’re on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an ability to indicate Other products. By way of instance, if they’re purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, I might offer a package of business card templates or propose some other product which may interest them that they previously didn’t know about. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do.
I can’t help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money Table — for myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the customer and the seller.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve BST was place to by the working timezone for the site. Since I am found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 sales for the day because Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own data reflects that.
Again, this is mostly a non-issue, however I Would like to observe the capability to adjust the site to your timezone. Payhip Logos
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not quite perfect yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the only advertising You’re able to run through a coupon code. I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount from the initial price, or the ability to set a sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to put a product Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percent off would render the final price. I think this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced options which include —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a couple of preview.
- To the number of copies of eBook or your product can be, Insert a limit number sold.
- Create a license key for all your product/eBook sales.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you or even host your products. The site takes only 5% commission per trade fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you’re a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you know that you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and market a high-ticket product or have a huge audience, you may want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be promoting $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. This is dependent on the number of transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am grateful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Payhip Logos
