Intro Payhip Quietplay
Of All of the ways of monetizing blog content, my favorite method is To make and sell digital products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running ads and self explanatory products convert at a significantly greater rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this post I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip expertise as a vendor for 2+ years. Payhip Quietplay
My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you’ll want a way to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your product, cover it, and have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that provides customers with the easiest tools and solutions for hosting and promoting products to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a couple of them previously.
Having A platform that is simple to use and one that doesn’t require a huge amount of my valuable time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. After my two year Payhip expertise, here’s what I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they do not pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your account, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a brand new sale never gets old. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold until the cash is available. This is all Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per sale.
This was appealing to me back Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive I was likely to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best fit my situation.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you see transactions and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other given range. On top of that, it’s a report that is really straightforward and to-the-point.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you are immediately smacked in the face with can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it’s mostly useless also. Payhip just provides you what you are there to view — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is By creating coupon codes promotions to conduct.
The codes can be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you’d like (or even permanently,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be helpful. Sometimes I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People really do respond to limited time offers. Payhip Quietplay
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and you can award if someone purchases a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other people To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be worthwhile, and should they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email marketing, you’ll be Able to integrate Payhip with your email marketing provider so that if a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address could be added into a list.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Book subsequently make it publicly accessible for free they’ll have to be fine with their personal email address being accessible also. I think that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload virtually any sort of file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is your website looks. People generally don’t trust sites that appear obsolete, myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded because the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information into it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Site has a layout that is simple and very modern. In the event that you were to purchase a digital product on the internet, this is what you would expect a checkout page from a business. Payhip Quietplay
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical info (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I really enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are large, successful companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not have a mobile app. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app and take a look during my earnings data while I’m out and around. You may log in to the website and do so, but the website isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a very Bad look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not have to manually sign in each time they would like to inspect sales data. Permit users of Payhip encounter a platform when they’re on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would like to see an capability that is Extra to suggest Other products. If they are buying a bundle of logo templates for $5, I might offer a package of business card templates or suggest some other similar product which could interest them they didn’t know about. This is something which sites like VistaPrint and Amazon do.
I can’t help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This could enhance the Payhip encounter for both the customer and the seller.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located in London, they’ve BST was place to by The functioning timezone for the whole site. Since I’m located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 earnings for the day because Payhip believes it is midnight and its own data reflects that.
This is a non-issue, but I Would love to see that the capability to adjust the website to your timezone. Payhip Quietplay
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It’s not perfect yet, although code feature earlier.
As it stands, the advertising You’re able to run via a coupon code is for a percent off. I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I Need to put a $27 product Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percent off would render the last cost. I believe this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced alternatives which include —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a sample or preview pages.
- To how many copies of market or your product can be, Insert a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key that is unique for each of your product/eBook sales.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or even host your digital products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a client, but whether or not you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. But if you have a massive audience or market a merchandise and know you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you might want to look into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be selling less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some alternative. That is largely dependent on the number of transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers though, so be sure to crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am very grateful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Payhip Quietplay
