Intro Payhip Rates
Of all the ways of Creating blog Articles, my Strategy is To make and sell electronic products like learning design templates and materials. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running ads and self-made products convert at a greater rate compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this article I will be sharing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip expertise for a seller for two + years. My Payhip Expertise
If you wanted to sell digital products Through your own site, you are going to need a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An that provides customers with the tools and options for hosting and promoting electronic products to their customers online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a few of them previously.
Having A platform that is so simple to use and one that does not take a huge amount of my time that is valuable is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time too because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which is a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero charges asides From 5 percent per trade when you sell a product.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my two + year Payhip experience, Here Is What I love about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available in your account, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets old. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there will be a 3 day hold before the money is available. That is all Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of the things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there is no Monthly fees or setup charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Because, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and that I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a small audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to this day, month, week, year, or some other given range. On top of that, it is a report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you are instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it’s mostly useless also. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is Promotions to run by producing coupon codes.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever duration you’d like (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Sometimes I’ll run a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook, then raise the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People really do respond to limited time offers. Payhip Rates
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you can award, if someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be well worthwhile and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email marketing, you will be Able to incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing provider that is chosen so that a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address can be added to a chosen listing.
That is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Book subsequently make it publicly accessible for free they’ll need to be fine with their private email address being accessible. I believe that is a creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is not just a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any kind of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how present your site appears. People do not trust websites which appear outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been upgraded because the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and placing my payment information to it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a design that is very modern and simple. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page by a company, if you should buy a product on the internet. Payhip Rates
Another thing I like about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial info (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning that your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is completely managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they are successful companies with a lot of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a app. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I’m out and about and take a look. You may log into the website and do so, but the site is optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a very Lousy look in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in each time they want to check sales data. Let users of Payhip encounter a platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an Extra capability to suggest Other products. For instance, if they are buying a bundle of templates for $5, I suggest some other product which may interest them that they previously didn’t know about, or could provide a bundle of business card templates for a couple of dollars. This is something that sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the client and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve The working timezone for the site set to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its own data reveals that.
Again, this is mostly a non-issue, however I Would like to see the capability to correct the website to your own timezone. Payhip Rates
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature earlier, but it’s not perfect yet.
As it stands, the sole promotion You’re able to run through a coupon code. I’d love to be able to offer a dollar amount to set a predetermined sale price.
Right Now, if I want to place a product Available for $10, manually do the math to determine what percentage off would leave the cost and I must break out the calculator. I believe that is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced options which include —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a couple of preview or sample pages.
- To the number of copies of your product or market can be, add a limit amount sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique for each of your product/eBook sales.
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your digital products. The website takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether or not you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you have a massive audience or sell a merchandise and know you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you might want to check into something.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you are probably going to want to go with Gumroad or start looking into some alternative. That is mostly dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so be certain that you crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Payhip Rates
