Intro Payhip WordPress
Of All of the ways of monetizing blog content, my method is To create and sell products like studying layout templates and materials. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running advertisements and products convert at a greater speed compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and this post I’ll be sharing what I both like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip experience for a vendor for 2+ years. Payhip WordPress
My Payhip Experience
If you have ever wanted to sell products Through your own site, you are going to need a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, cover it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides customers with solutions and the tools for hosting and selling products directly to their customers online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of these previously.
For me personally, having A platform that is simple to use and one that does not take a massive amount of my time that is valuable is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time too because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip include –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it can be a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero charges asides From 5% per trade when you sell a product.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to advertising tools. You have the option to make Societal and coupons discounts.
- Capability to signup, handle and reward your affiliates.
- Access to merchandise sharing programs . Plus it is possible to embed Your product and purchase Now buttons right on your website or blog.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. After my 2 year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your account, and if you have the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale happens. Payhip WordPress
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach to your phone, and also see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there will be a 3 day hold until the money is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Fees
One of those things that Payhip initially sold me is that there is no Monthly charges or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5 percent per sale.
This was attractive to me in 2016 Because, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a small crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That enables you to see transactions and earnings amounts relative to this day, week, month, year, or some other specified range. Best of all, it is a report.
If you have ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are instantly smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is mostly useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you’re there to see — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is By producing coupon codes promotions to run.
The codes may be for any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Sometimes I will run a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People really do respond to limited time offers. Payhip WordPress
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award them a commission of whatever percentage you’d like, someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To market your products and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into marketing, you’ll be Able to easily integrate Payhip with your email marketing supplier that is preferred so that if a purchase is made, the purchaser’s email address can be added into a listing.
That is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you desire, you can have Payhip postage the buyer’s email address to the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication then make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be fine with their email address being available as well. I think that’s a creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip isn’t just a market for ebooks — You can upload virtually any kind of file. Font documents, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way present your site looks. People generally don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been upgraded because the web 2.0 days, I begin to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned building and placing my payment information into it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a layout that is easy and very contemporary. In the event that you were to buy a merchandise on the internet, this is what you would expect a checkout page from a company to appear like. Payhip WordPress
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the critical information (like price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning that your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way as they are large companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a app. It would be convenient to have the ability to start an app while I am out and about and take a look. The site is optimized for mobile devices, although you can log into the website and do this.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually sign in every time they want to check sales data. Permit users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability that is added to suggest Other products similar to what the customer is going to buy. For instance, if they’re buying a bundle of templates for $5, then I could provide a package of business card templates to get a couple of dollars, or propose. This is something that sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do very well.
I can not help but feel as though there’s a Great Deal of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this operation. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the client and the seller.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was place to by the working timezone for the whole website. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 earnings for the day because Payhip believes it’s midnight and its data reveals that.
This is largely a non-issue, but I Would like to observe that the capability to adjust the website. Payhip WordPress
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It is not quite perfect just yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the sole advertising You’re able to run via a coupon code is to get a percentage off. I’d like to be able to supply a dollar amount off the price, or the ability to set a specified sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to place a merchandise On sale for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percentage off would leave the price at $10. I think this is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative options including —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a preview.
- Add a limitation amount sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional for each of your product/eBook sales.
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to establish or host your digital products. The site takes only 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether or not you ought to use it depends upon your own situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. But in case you market a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know that you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month, you might want to check into something.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 a month in total quantity, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you are probably going to need to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. That is mostly dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so make certain that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am very grateful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Payhip WordPress
