Intro Product Digital
Of all the ways of Creating content that is blog, my Strategy is Like studying design templates and materials, to make and sell products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily more rewarding than running ads from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a much greater rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The service I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip expertise as a seller for two + years. Product Digital
My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you are going to want a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, pay for it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives customers with the simplest tools and options for promoting electronic products to their clients and hosting online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a couple of them previously.
For me personally, having A platform that is so easy to use and one that does not require a massive amount of my time that is valuable is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save you a lot of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which can be a huge plus in my book.

- Access to analytics reports.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. Following my 2+ year Payhip expertise, here’s what I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clean some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is instantly available in your accounts, and if you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale happens. Product Digital
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets old. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card with Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the cash is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your money at all.
No Monthly Fees
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and I was not positive that I was likely to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to the day, week, month, year, or any other given range. On top of that, it’s a simple and to-the-point report.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you are instantly smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless also. Payhip just provides you exactly what you are there to view — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is Promotions to conduct by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be very useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook boost the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Product Digital
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you are able to grant whenever someone buys a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows people To market your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be well worthwhile, and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email marketing, you’ll be Able to easily integrate Payhip with your email advertising supplier so that a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address can be added to a list.
This is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you can have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll need to be okay with their personal email address being accessible. I think that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — You can upload any sort of electronic file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way current your website looks. People don’t trust websites which look outdated, myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been upgraded since the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned building and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Site has a layout that is easy and very modern. If you should buy a digital merchandise this is what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a company to appear like. Product Digital
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and only the critical information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment information, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are large companies with a lot of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t have a program. It would be convenient to have the ability to open an app and take a look while I’m out and around. The website isn’t optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and can log into the site.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Bad look in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users do not have to manually register in each time they want to check sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability to suggest Other products. By way of example, if they are buying a bundle of logo templates for $5, then I could provide a package of business card templates or propose. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do well.
I can’t help but feel as though there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This may enhance the Payhip experience for both the vendor and the customer.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I had still Prefer to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was set to by the timezone for the entire site. Since I’m found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my stats at 7PM or later and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own data reflects that.
This is a non-issue, but I Would like to see that the capability to adjust the site. Product Digital
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature but it is not perfect just yet.
As it now stands, the advertising You can run through a voucher code. I’d love to be able to supply a dollar amount from the price, or the capability to set a specified sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to place a $27 merchandise On sale for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percentage off would leave the price at $10. I think this is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced alternatives including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a couple of preview.
- To how many copies of your product or eBook can be Insert a limitation number sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your products. The site takes only 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a customer, but whether you should use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But in case you have a huge audience or sell a product and know that you’ll be doing at least $1,000 in sales every month, you may want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 per month in total quantity, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or look into some other alternative. This is all dependent on how many transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so make sure to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am very thankful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Product Digital
