Background Products You Can Sell
Of All of the ways of Creating blog content, my Strategy is Like studying layout templates and materials to create and sell products. I’ve found that it is extraordinarily more rewarding than running ads and self-made products convert at a higher speed compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this article I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip expertise as a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Expertise
If you wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you are going to want a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your product, pay for it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that gives customers with the tools and solutions for hosting and promoting products to their clients online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a few of these in the past.
For me personally, having A platform that is so easy to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my time that is precious is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save you a lot of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip include –

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the details. After my two + year Payhip experience, Here Is What I love about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your accounts, and if you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications each time a sale happens. Products You Can Sell
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is good to wake up in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the money is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of the things that Payhip initially sold me is that there is no Monthly charges or setup charges — only a simple flat fee of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me Because, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other specified range. Best of all, it’s a report that is really straightforward and to-the-point.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it’s largely useless also. Payhip just provides you exactly what you’re there to see — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is By producing coupon codes promotions to conduct.
The codes can be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever duration you’d like (or even permanently,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be very helpful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook, then boost the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Products You Can Sell
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you can award them a commission of whatever percent you’d like, someone buys a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows Men and Women To sell your merchandise for you, and if they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worthwhile.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email advertising, you will be Able to incorporate Payhip with your preferred email advertising supplier so that if a sale is made, the buyer’s email address could be added into a list that is chosen.
This is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a mention — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they will have to be fine with their personal email address being publicly accessible also. I think that’s a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Sorts of Files
Payhip is not just a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any sort of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is the way present your site appears. People generally don’t trust websites which appear outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned building and putting my payment info into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not true with Payhip though. The Website has a simple and very modern design. This is exactly what you would expect a checkout page by a trustworthy business, if you should buy a merchandise on the world wide web. Products You Can Sell
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the very moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the critical info (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning that your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they are successful companies with lots of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a mobile program. It’d be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I am out and about and take a look during my sales data. The website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you do this and may log in to the site.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you’ve got that, you ought to be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in each time they want to inspect sales information. Let users of Payhip encounter a better platform when they’re on their cellular devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability to indicate Other products. For example, if they are buying a bundle of templates for $5, I propose some other similar product which may interest them that they didn’t know about, or could provide a package of business card templates to get a few extra dollars. This is something that sites like VistaPrint and Amazon do very well.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a lot of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the vendor and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I had still Like to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they have The working timezone for the entire website place to BST. Since I’m found in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its own data reveals that.
Again, this is mostly a non-issue, but I Would like to observe that the capability to correct the site. Products You Can Sell
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It is not quite perfect just yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the advertising You can run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to offer a dollar amount to set a predetermined sale price.
Right Now, if I want to place a $27 merchandise Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and do the math to determine what percentage off will render the last price at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you also have access to advanced options including —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a sample or preview pages.
- To the number of copies of eBook or your product could be, add a limitation number sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique for all your product/eBook sales.
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or even host your products. The site takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a satisfied customer, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, in case you sell a product that is high-ticket or have a massive audience and know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you might want to check into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling $1,000 a month in total quantity, the math should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you are probably going to want to go with Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. That is all dependent on how many transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers so be sure that you crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am very thankful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Products You Can Sell
