Background Pulley App
Of All of the ways of monetizing Articles that is blog, my method is To create and sell digital products like learning layout templates and materials. I’ve discovered that it is extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements and self-made products convert at a much greater rate compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip expertise as a vendor for 2+ years. Pulley App
My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you are going to want a means to facilitate trades — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your product, pay for it, and have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives users with the tools and options for hosting and promoting electronic products to their clients online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of them in the past.
Having A stage that is so simple to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time too because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it can be a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero charges asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a item that is digital.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to marketing tools. You have the option to create Societal and coupons discounts.
- Capability to signup, manage and reward your own affiliates.
- Access to product sharing programs . Plus you can embed Your merchandise and Buy Now buttons directly on your website or blog.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. Following my two + year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is instantly available on your accounts, and if you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a new sale never gets old. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the money is available. This is all Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there is no Monthly charges or setup charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was attractive to me back in 2016 Because, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That lets you see transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other given selection. On top of that, it’s a report.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re instantly smacked in the face with can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless also. Payhip just provides you exactly what you’re there to see — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip experience is Promotions to conduct by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be for almost any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever length you’d like (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Pulley App
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to award them a commission of whatever percentage you’d like someone purchases a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products for you, and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worthwhile.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be if you are into advertising Able to easily integrate Payhip along with your email marketing provider that is chosen so that a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address can be added into a chosen listing.
That is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you can have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be fine with their email address being publicly accessible as well. I think that is a very creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload just about any kind of electronic file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how present your website looks. Individuals generally don’t trust websites which appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned building and placing my payment info into it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a easy and very contemporary design. In the event that you were to purchase a digital merchandise on the world wide web, this is exactly what you would anticipate a checkout page by a trusted company. Pulley App
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the critical information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I like about Payhip is That they do not store customer payment information, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it this way as they’re large companies with lots of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not possess a mobile app. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and around and take a look. You do this and may log into the site, but the site isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
I enjoy Payhip, but that is a very Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for mobile, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users don’t have to manually sign in every time they would like to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip experience a much better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an ability to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is going to buy. If they’re purchasing a package of logo templates for $5, then I suggest some other product that could interest them that they didn’t know about, or could offer a package of business card templates for a few extra bucks. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This may improve the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I Prefer to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have The functioning timezone for the site place to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its information reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to see the ability to correct the website. Pulley App
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It’s not quite perfect yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it currently stands, the sole advertising You’re able to run via a coupon code is to get a percent off. Ideally, I’d love to be able to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
Right Now, if I want to place a $27 merchandise Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percentage off would render the final price at $10. I think that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced alternatives which include —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a sample or preview pages.
- Add a limit number to how many copies of market or your product could be sold.
- Create a license key .
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to establish or even host your electronic products. The website takes only 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a customer, but whether or not you ought to use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you have a huge audience or sell a high-ticket merchandise and know that you’ll do at least $1,000 in sales each month, you may want to look into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be selling less than $1,000 per month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or look into some choice. This is largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so make sure that you crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am really thankful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Pulley App
