Introduction Quiet Play Payhip
Of all the ways of Creating blog content, my Strategy is Like studying layout templates and materials to make and sell electronic products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements and products convert at a significantly greater rate compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience as a seller for two + years. My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to sell products Through your own website, you’ll want a means to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a client to select your product, cover it, and have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives customers with the easiest tools and solutions for hosting and selling digital products directly to their clients online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a few of them previously.
Having A platform that is really simple to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my valuable time is of utmost significance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it can be a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero fees asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a item that is digital.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the details. Following my two year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available on your accounts, and if you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications each time a sale happens. Quiet Play Payhip
I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets old. It’s also good to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and also see you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients card with Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the cash is available. That is Stripe however — Payhip doesn’t hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip originally sold me is that there is no Monthly fees or setup charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me in 2016 Because, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other given range. On top of that, it is a to-the-point and really straightforward report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re immediately smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it’s largely useless too. Payhip just gives you what you are there to see — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is Promotions to conduct by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be for almost any percentage you would Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I have found this to be useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook, then boost the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Quiet Play Payhip
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link, you can award.
This is useful because it allows Men and Women To sell your products the commissions paid will be worth it and if they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be, if you are into email advertising Able to incorporate Payhip with your email marketing provider that is chosen so that a purchase is made, the purchaser’s email address could be added into a list.
This is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you desire, you can have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address into the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Publication subsequently make it available for free they will need to be fine with their private email address being publicly available as well. I believe that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t Only a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload virtually any kind of file. Font files, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is how present your website looks. People don’t trust websites that look outdated, myself included. If a site looks like it has not been upgraded since the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a layout that is simple and very contemporary. This is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page by a company to appear like if you were to purchase a digital product on the world wide web. Quiet Play Payhip
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the crucial information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That they do not store customer payment information, meaning that your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they’re successful companies with lots of money.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not possess a mobile program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and about, and take a look. The website is optimized for mobile devices, although you do this and may log into the site.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own program so users don’t need to manually register in each time they want to check sales data. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they’re on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would like to see an ability to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is going to buy. If they are buying a package of logo templates for $5, I might provide a bundle of business card templates or suggest. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do well.
I can’t help but feel as though there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no operation. This may enhance the Payhip experience for both the client and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located at London, they have BST was set to by the working timezone for the site. Since I’m located in the EST, I will sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 earnings for the day because Payhip thinks it is midnight and its data reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, but I Would love to see the ability to adjust the site. Quiet Play Payhip
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not perfect, although code feature earlier.
As it currently stands, the advertising You’re able to run through a coupon code is for a percentage off. I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to place a $27 product Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and manually do the math to determine what percentage off would render the cost. I believe that is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives including —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a couple of preview.
- To how many copies of your product or market could be add a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional .
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or host your products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a happy client, but whether or not you ought to use it depends upon your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you market a product that is high-ticket or have a massive audience and know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you are probably going to need to go with Gumroad or start looking into another alternative. That is largely dependent on the number of transactions it takes to achieve those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Expertise and am really grateful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Quiet Play Payhip
