Of all the ways of monetizing blog Articles, my favorite method is Like studying design templates and materials, to make and sell products. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running ads and self-made products convert at a greater rate than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. Readmill
My Payhip Experience
If you wanted to market digital products Through your own site, you’ll want a means to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your product, cover it, and have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that provides customers with the tools and solutions for selling digital products directly to their clients and hosting online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a couple of them in the past.
Having A stage that is easy to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my precious time is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save you a lot of time too because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it can be a big plus in my book.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two year Payhip expertise, here’s what I love about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is immediately available in your accounts, and if you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card using Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold until the cash is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or setup charges — only a simple flat charge of 5% per sale.
This was attractive to me Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and that I was not positive that I was likely to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a small crowd, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That enables you to see trades and earnings quantities relative to the day, month, week, year, or any other specified selection. On top of that, it is a to-the-point and very straightforward report.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re instantly smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless also. Payhip just provides you exactly what you are there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is The capacity to run promotions.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I have found this to be useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Readmill
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and you are able to award them a commission of whatever percent you would like someone buys a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your products the commissions paid will be worth it, and should they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be, if you are into email marketing Able to integrate Payhip along with your email advertising supplier that is preferred so that a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address could be added into a listing.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication subsequently make it accessible for free they will have to be fine with their personal email address being available. I believe that is a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how present your website looks. Individuals generally don’t trust sites that look obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated because the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned building and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a very contemporary and easy layout. In the event that you were to purchase a merchandise on the world wide web, this is what you would expect a checkout page from a trustworthy company. Readmill
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical info (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Finally, what I really enjoy about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment information, meaning that your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is completely managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they’re big companies with a lot of cash to spend on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not possess a mobile program. It would be convenient to be able to open an app and have a look while I am out and about. You can log in to the site and do so, but the site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Bad look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a website optimized for mobile, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not have to manually register in each time they want to inspect sales data. Permit users of Payhip encounter a platform when they’re on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an capability that is added to indicate Other products. By way of example, if they’re purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, then I suggest some other product which may interest them they didn’t know about, or might provide a bundle of business card templates for a couple of bucks. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do well.
I can’t help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no operation. This could improve the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the client.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I’d still Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was set to by The functioning timezone for the whole website. Since I’m located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its data reveals that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, but I Would like to observe that the ability to adjust the site. Readmill
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature earlier, but it is not quite perfect just yet.
As it stands, the sole advertising You can run through a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price that is predetermined.
Right Now, if I Need to place a merchandise Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percentage off will render the last cost. I believe that is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced options including —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a sample or preview pages.
- Insert a limitation amount to how many copies of eBook or your product can be sold.
- Generate a license key for all your product/eBook revenue.
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or host your products. The site takes just 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a happy client, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month for something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. In case you know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a massive audience, you may want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be selling less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some alternative. This is all largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers, however, so be sure to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I absolutely love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Readmill
