Introduction Sale Digital Products
Of All of the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my method is To create and sell products like learning materials and layout templates. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a much higher rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this post I will be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based in my Payhip expertise as a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Experience
If you have ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you’ll need a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a client to select your goods, cover it, and have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives users with solutions and the tools for promoting electronic products straight to their customers and hosting online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I’ve used a few of them in the past.
Having A stage that is so simple to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time that is precious is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save a great deal of time also because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.

What I Like About Payhip
Let us get to the information. Following my 2 year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let us your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they do not pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait around for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your account, and if you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale happens. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is new never gets old. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach to your phone, and see you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your clients pays by card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the money is available. This is all Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there is no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5% per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Since, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and that I wasn’t positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you view transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, week, month, year, or some other specified selection. On top of that, it is a report that is straightforward and to-the-point.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re immediately smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — revenue information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is Promotions to run by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any duration you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be somewhat useful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People truly do respond well to limited time offers. Sale Digital Products
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you can grant, someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products for you, the commissions paid will be worthwhile, and if they have a stage and an audience of their own that they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you’re into marketing, you will be Able to readily integrate Payhip along with your email advertising provider so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added to a list.
This is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you desire, you can have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address into the top left corner of every page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Publication then make it available for free they’ll need to be okay with their personal email address being publicly accessible as well. I think that’s a creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload just about any sort of file. Font documents, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your website looks. People generally don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it has not been upgraded because the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned building and placing my payment information into it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a layout that is very contemporary and easy. This is what you would expect a checkout page by a business to appear like In the event that you were to purchase a merchandise on the world wide web. Sale Digital Products
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I really like about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment info, meaning that your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is totally handled through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they are successful companies with a lot of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and about and take a look during my earnings data. You may log in to the website and do so, but the website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in every time they want to check sales data. Users of Payhip encounter a platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an capability to suggest Other products similar to what the customer is going to buy. If they are buying a bundle of templates for $5, then I suggest, or might offer a bundle of business card templates to get a couple of added dollars. This is something that sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do very well.
I can not help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This could improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Like to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they’ve BST was place to by the timezone for the website. Since I’m located in the EST, I’ll occasionally check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 sales for the day since Payhip thinks it is midnight and its own information reflects that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to see the capability to adjust the website. Sale Digital Products
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not perfect, although code feature earlier.
As it stands, the advertising You can run via a coupon code is for a percent off. I’d love to have the ability to supply a dollar amount off the cost, or the capability to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I Need to put a merchandise On sale for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percentage off will leave the price at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a few sample or preview pages.
- To how many copies of your product or market could be, add a limit number sold.
- Create a license key that is exceptional .
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to establish or host your digital products. The website takes only 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a happy customer, but whether or not you ought to use it depends upon your own situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But in case you know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month and sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a huge audience, you may want to check into something.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be selling $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or look into some choice. That is mostly dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so make certain that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am really grateful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sale Digital Products
