Introduction Sell Digital Agency
Of all the ways of monetizing blog Articles, my Strategy is Such as learning design templates and materials to make and sell products. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily more rewarding than running ads from networks like AdSense, and products convert at a greater speed compared to an affiliate product that someone else created. The service I use to ease this can be Payhip, and this post I’ll be sharing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. My Payhip Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to sell digital products Through your own site, you’ll need a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure that will allow a client to select your product, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An that provides users with solutions and the simplest tools for hosting and promoting products straight to their clients online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a few of them in the past.
For me, having A platform that is really easy to use and one that doesn’t take a massive amount of my precious time is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time also because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Advantages that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a huge plus in my book.
- Affordable. The site takes zero charges asides From 5% per transaction when you sell a item that is digital.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my 2+ year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the cash is immediately available in your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is new never gets older. It’s also good to wake up in the morning, reach for your phone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers pays by card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the money is available. This is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or setup charges — only a simple flat charge of 5% per sale.
This was appealing to me Because, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and that I wasn’t positive I was likely to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Easy To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end Provides an analytics page That enables you to see transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or some other specified selection. On top of that, it is a report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you are immediately smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is largely useless also. Payhip just gives you what you’re there to view — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is By creating coupon codes promotions to run.
The codes may be Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever duration you want (or even indefinitely,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I have found this to be useful. Occasionally I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Sell Digital Agency
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and whenever someone buys a product you are able to award them a commission of whatever percent you’d like.
This is useful since it allows Men and Women To market your products and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You will be, if you’re into email advertising Able to integrate Payhip with your email advertising supplier so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added to a listing that is chosen.
This is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication subsequently make it publicly accessible for free somewhere else, they’ll need to be fine with their private email address being publicly accessible. I believe that is a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip isn’t just a market for ebooks — You can upload any kind of electronic file. Font documents, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your website appears. Individuals do not trust websites that look outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned building and placing my payment info into it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a design. This is what you would anticipate a checkout page from a company to look like, In the event that you should buy a merchandise on the internet. Sell Digital Agency
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. From the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the crucial information (like price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is completely managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it that way as they’re successful companies with a lot of money to invest on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not have a app. It would be convenient to be able to open an app while I am out and about and have a look during my data. The site is optimized for mobile devices, although you do this and can log into the website.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Lousy appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a website optimized for cellular, and once you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users don’t need to manually sign in every time they would like to check sales data. Let users of Payhip encounter a platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an added capability to indicate Other products. If they’re purchasing a package of logo templates for $5, then I propose, or could offer a bundle of business card templates for a couple of extra dollars. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do.
I can not help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the customer.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Like to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they have BST was place to by The functioning timezone for the whole website. Since I am located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it is midnight and its own information reveals that.
This is mostly a non-issue, however I Would like to see the ability to adjust the site. Sell Digital Agency
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not perfect just yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the only advertising You’re able to run via a coupon code. I’d love to have the ability to offer a dollar amount off the cost, or the capability to set a specified sale price.
At the moment, if I Need to put a merchandise that is $27 On sale for $10, do the math to figure out what percentage off would render the price at $10 and I have to break out the calculator. I think this is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your product personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a few sample or preview pages.
- To how many copies of your product or eBook could be add a limitation amount sold.
- Create a license key that is unique for all your product/eBook revenue.
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or even host your electronic products. The website takes just 5% commission per trade fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a client, but whether or not you ought to use it depends on your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. But if you market a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you may want to look into something.
As of this date of the writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be promoting less than $1,000 per month in total quantity, the math should (in most cases) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you are probably going to want to go with Gumroad or start looking into another alternative. That is all dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so make certain to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am grateful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Digital Agency
