Intro Sell Digital Art Prints
Of All of the ways of Creating content that is blog, my method is Such as studying materials and design templates to make and sell electronic products. I’ve discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and self explanatory products convert at a much higher rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this post I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based in my Payhip experience as a seller for two + years. My Payhip Expertise
If you wanted to sell products Through your own website, you’ll want a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your product, cover it, and have it immediately delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides users with solutions and the tools for hosting and promoting products directly to their customers online.
The company Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a couple of these in the past.
For me, having A stage that is so simple to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my time that is valuable is of paramount importance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, and it is a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero charges asides From 5 percent per trade when you sell a digital item.
- Accessibility to analytics reports.
- Access to advertising tools. You have the option to make Social and Coupons discounts.
- Ability to signup, handle and reward your own affiliates.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two + year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the cash is instantly available in your accounts, and if you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets older. In addition, it is good to wake up in the morning, reach for your telephone, and see that you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the cash is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip initially sold me is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was appealing to me in 2016 Because, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a small audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or any other specified range. On top of that, it’s a report that is really simple and to-the-point.
If you’ve used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you are immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and a lot of it’s mostly useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to see — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is The ability to conduct promotions by producing coupon codes.
The codes may be for any percentage you would Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any length you want (or even indefinitely,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be useful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook boost the post targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond well to limited time offers. Sell Digital Art Prints
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you can award them a commission of whatever percentage you would like if someone purchases a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other people To sell your merchandise the commissions paid will be worth it, and should they have a platform and an audience of their own they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be if you are into marketing Able to incorporate Payhip with your email advertising supplier that is preferred so that a sale is made, the buyer’s email address could be added to a listing that is chosen.
That is relatively small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a mention — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Book make it available for free somewhere else, they will need to be okay with their email address being available. I believe that’s a really creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is not just a marketplace for ebooks — It’s possible to upload just about any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is the way present your site looks. People generally don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned building and placing my payment information to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design. In the event that you should purchase a merchandise on the internet, this is what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a trusted company to look like. Sell Digital Art Prints
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its Overall simplicity. In the very moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your graphics, sales copy, and just the critical information (such as price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your sale — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they’re large, successful companies with lots of cash to spend on top-shelf security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a program. It’d be convenient to have the ability to open an app and have a look through my data while I am out and around. The website is optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and can log into the website.
I like Payhip, but that is a very Bad look in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually sign in every time they want to check sales information. Permit users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would really like to see an added ability to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is going to purchase. If they are buying a bundle of logo templates for $5, I propose some other product which could interest them they didn’t know about, or could provide a bundle of business card templates to get a couple of extra dollars. This is something which websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can not help but feel as though there’s a lot of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This could enhance the Payhip encounter for both the client and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I had still Prefer to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve The timezone for the whole website place to BST. Since I am found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it is midnight and its data reflects that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would like to see that the ability to correct the site to your timezone. Sell Digital Art Prints
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it is not quite perfect just yet.
As it currently stands, the promotion You can run through a voucher code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to offer a dollar amount from the initial price, or the ability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
Right Now, if I Need to place a $27 merchandise Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percentage off will render the cost. I think this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a sample or preview pages.
- To the number of copies of eBook or your product can be add a limitation amount sold.
- Generate a license key that is exceptional .
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or even host your digital products. The site takes only 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a satisfied customer, but whether you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, if you have a massive audience or sell a merchandise and know that you’ll do at least $1,000 in sales each month, you might want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be promoting less than $1,000 per month in total quantity, the math should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it takes to reach those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am thankful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Digital Art Prints
