Intro Sell Digital Magazine
Of All of the ways of monetizing content that is blog, my favorite method is Like learning materials and layout templates to make and sell digital products. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running ads from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a greater rate than an affiliate product that someone else created. The support I use to facilitate this can be Payhip, and in this post I will be discussing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience for a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Expertise
If you wanted to market digital products Through your own website, you are going to need a way to facilitate trades — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives customers with the tools and options for hosting and promoting products straight to their clients online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
Which are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of these previously.
For me personally, having A stage that is so simple to use and one that doesn’t take a huge amount of my time that is valuable is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save a lot of time also because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is cared for, which is a big plus in my book.
- Affordable. The website takes zero charges asides From 5% per trade when you sell a item.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my two + year Payhip experience, here’s what I really like about the service…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clean some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is instantly available on your accounts, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and also Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale happens. Sell Digital Magazine
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. In addition, it is great to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card with Stripe, there’ll be a 3 day hold before the money is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
Among the things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat charge of 5 percent per purchase .
This was attractive to me back Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it is now, and I was not positive I was likely to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best fit my scenario.
Easy To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That enables you to view transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, month, week, year, or any other specified range. On top of that, it is a to-the-point and very simple report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you’re instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless also. Payhip just gives you exactly what you’re there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is The ability to run promotions by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They can run for whatever duration you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I have found this to be somewhat helpful. Sometimes I will conduct a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook raise the post targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Sell Digital Magazine
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the capability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your store, and you can grant them a commission of whatever percent you’d like if someone purchases a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To sell your products and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap to, the commissions paid will be well worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into advertising, you’ll be Able to easily incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing supplier that is chosen so that if a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added into a chosen listing.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you desire, you can have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Book make it accessible for free they will have to be okay with their personal email address being publicly available also. I think that is a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is not Only a market for ebooks — You can upload just about any sort of file. Font files, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your site appears. Individuals don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it hasn’t been updated since the web 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info into it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a simple and very contemporary layout. If you should buy a digital merchandise this is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page by a business to appear like. Sell Digital Magazine
Another thing I enjoy about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip remains out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning that your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they’re successful companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not possess a program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and around and take a look. You do so and may log into the site, but the site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but that is a really Lousy look in 2018. There is no reason you should not have a site optimized for mobile, and when you have that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users don’t need to manually sign in each time they would like to check sales data. Users of Payhip encounter a much better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an ability that is added to indicate Other products similar to what the client is about to purchase. If they’re buying a package of logo templates for $5, I propose some other similar product which could interest them they didn’t know about, or might provide a bundle of business card templates to get a few added bucks. This is something which sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do quite well.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — with no operation. This could enhance the Payhip encounter for both the customer and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I’d still Prefer to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they have BST was set to by the working timezone for the whole website. Since I am located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 earnings for the day since Payhip believes it’s midnight and its own data reflects that.
Again, this is mostly a non-issue, but I Would love to observe that the ability to correct the site to your own timezone. Sell Digital Magazine
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not quite perfect just yet, although Code attribute earlier.
As it now stands, the only promotion You’re able to run via a coupon code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I want to place a merchandise Available for $10, do the math to determine what percent off would leave the cost at $10 and I must break out the calculator. I think that is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to advanced options including —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload a couple of sample or preview pages.
- To how many copies of eBook or your product can be, Insert a limitation number sold.
- Generate a unique license key for all your product/eBook revenue.
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to establish or host your digital products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a client, but whether you ought to use it depends upon your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. However, if you sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know that you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month, you might want to look into something most cost effective.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5% of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be promoting less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or look into some alternative. This is all largely dependent on how many transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so be sure that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am grateful for their solutions. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Digital Magazine
