Of all the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my method is To create and sell digital products. The service I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be discussing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience for a vendor for two + years. My Payhip Experience

Payhip solves this issue.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. Following my 2+ year Payhip expertise, Here Is What I love about the service…
Upgrades Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the cash is immediately available in your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll receive notifications whenever a sale happens. I happen to love this. The excitement of Seeing a brand new sale never gets old. It’s also great to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and also see you made X number of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this can be Stripe. If your customers pays by card using Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold before the money is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Charges
One of the things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there is no Monthly charges or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me Since, at the moment, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to view transactions and earnings quantities relative to this day, week, month, year, or some other given range. Best of all, it is a simple and to-the-point report.
If you have used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you are instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless also. Payhip just gives you what you are there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is The ability to conduct promotions by producing coupon codes.
The codes can be Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever duration you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be very helpful. Sometimes I will run a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook, then raise the post targeting a pixel audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Sell Digital Magazine Subscriptions
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability Readers register as an affiliate of your shop, and you can award, someone buys a product with their custom affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows other people To sell your merchandise and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap to, the commissions paid will be well worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into marketing, you will be Able to incorporate Payhip along with your email advertising provider so that whenever a purchase is made, the buyer’s email address can be added into a selected listing.
This is relatively minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone plans to buy your PDF Publication make it available for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be fine with their private email address being accessible. I think that is a really creative means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload virtually any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is the way current your website looks. People generally don’t trust sites which appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned building and putting my payment information to it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a very contemporary and simple design. In the event that you were to purchase a product this is exactly what you’d anticipate a checkout page by a trusted company to look like. Sell Digital Magazine Subscriptions
Another thing I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the very moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the crucial information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment information isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are secure. The payment is totally managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they’re large, successful companies with lots of money to invest on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the ceremony and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
One thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not possess a mobile program. It’d be convenient to have the ability to open an app and take a look while I’m out and about. The site isn’t even optimized for mobile devices, although you may log into the site and do so.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Bad appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for cellular, and when you have that, you ought to be able to easily turn the site itself into it’s own program so users do not need to manually sign in every time they would like to check sales information. Let users of Payhip encounter a better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an added capability to indicate Other products. For example, if they’re purchasing a package of templates for $5, then I propose some other product which may interest them that they previously didn’t know about, or could provide a bundle of business card templates for a few bucks. This is something that websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do quite well.
I can not help but feel like there’s a Great Deal of money Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may enhance the Payhip experience for both the client and the vendor.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I had still Like to see it fixed.
Considering that Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was set to by the working timezone for the entire site. Since I’m found in the EST, I will sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or later and see that I left 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its own data reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to see the capability to correct the website. Sell Digital Magazine Subscriptions
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature earlier, but it is not quite perfect.
As it now stands, the promotion You’re able to run via a coupon code. I’d love to be able to offer a dollar amount from the initial cost, or the capability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
At the moment, if I want to put a product Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percent off will render the cost at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your product personal.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Publish sample pages or a preview.
- Add a limitation amount sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique .
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you to establish or even host your electronic products. The site takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Can I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a client, but whether or not you should use it depends on your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ a month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. But in case you know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a massive audience, you might want to check into something.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you are going to be promoting less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the math should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling well into the thousands, you are probably going to want to go with Gumroad or start looking into another choice. That is largely dependent on how many transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so make certain to crunch the numbers for yourself.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am thankful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Digital Magazine Subscriptions
