Introduction Sell Digital Products
Of all the ways of Creating blog Articles, my Strategy is Such as studying materials and layout templates to make and sell products. I’ve discovered that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running advertisements and self-made products convert at a much greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The service I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and this article I’ll be discussing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience as a seller for 2+ years. If you wanted to sell digital products Through your own website, you’ll want a means to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your goods, cover it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.

Payhip is An that provides users with the easiest tools and solutions for promoting products directly to their clients and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I’ve used a few of them in the past.
For me, having A platform that is simple to use and one that does not take a huge amount of my time is of paramount importance.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let us get to the information. After my two + year Payhip expertise, here’s what I love about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they don’t cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and Stripe apps installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications each time a sale happens. Sell Digital Products
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets older. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach to your phone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients pays by card with Stripe, there’ll be a three day hold until the money is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Fees
One of those things that Payhip originally sold me on is that there’s no Monthly charges or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was appealing to me Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and that I was not positive that I was going to always sell enough product to warrant paying a monthly fee for a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Understand Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an page That enables you to see trades and earnings amounts relative to this day, month, week, year, or any other given range. Best of all, it is a report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of information you are instantly smacked in the face can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it’s mostly useless too. Payhip just gives you what you are there to see — sales information. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip encounter is Promotions to conduct by producing coupon codes.
The codes can be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for any length you want (or even indefinitely,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be helpful. Occasionally I will conduct a weekend marketing, place it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Sell Digital Products
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and you are able to grant if someone buys a product using their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your products and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be well worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be, if you are into marketing Able to readily incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing provider that is preferred so that a sale is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added into a chosen list.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you can have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Book then make it accessible for free they’ll have to be fine with their email address being accessible also. I believe that’s a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — You can upload any kind of file. Font files, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
1 thing that can not be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is how current your website looks. Individuals don’t trust myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the web 2.0 days, I start to wonder if perhaps I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information into it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Site has a design. This is exactly what you would anticipate a checkout page by a company, if you should purchase a product on the world wide web. Sell Digital Products
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the crucial info (like price.) They do absolutely nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is completely handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way because they are successful companies with a lot of money to spend on security.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It’d be convenient to be able to open an app while I’m out and around and have a look. You can log in to the site and do this, but the website isn’t even optimized for mobile devices.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Bad appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a website optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually register in every time they want to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip experience a platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an capability to suggest Other products similar to what the customer is going to purchase. For instance, if they are buying a package of templates for $5, then I propose, or might offer a bundle of business card templates for a couple of bucks. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do very well.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a lot of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may improve the Payhip experience for both the seller and the client.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is mostly frivolous, but I had still Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve The working timezone for the entire site place to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my analytics at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day since Payhip believes it is midnight and its data reflects that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would like to see the capability to correct the site to your timezone. Sell Digital Products
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon It’s not perfect, although Code attribute earlier.
As it stands, the promotion You’re able to run via a voucher code is to get a percent off. I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount off the cost, or the capability to set a sale price that is predetermined.
Right Now, if I Need to put a product Available for $10, I must break out the calculator and manually do the math to determine what percentage off will leave the last price at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and may be improved.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a few preview.
- To how many copies of eBook or your product could be Insert a limitation number sold.
- Create a license key for each of your product/eBook revenue.
Just how much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or even host your digital products. The website takes only 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am very much a satisfied customer, but whether or not you should use it depends on your situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month for something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. If you know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a massive audience, you may want to check into something most cost effective.
As of this date of this writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 a month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 a month in total quantity, the math should (in most cases) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you are probably going to need to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some choice. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers so make sure to crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am thankful for their services. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Digital Products
