Intro Sell Your Ebook
Of all the ways of Creating content, my Strategy is Such as studying materials and layout templates to create and sell products. I have found that it is extraordinarily more rewarding than running advertisements from networks like AdSense, and self explanatory products convert at a greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to facilitate this is Payhip, and this article I will be discussing what I both like and dislike about the ceremony based on my Payhip experience as a seller for two + years. If you have ever wanted to sell products Through your own website, you are going to want a means to facilitate transactions — some sort of infrastructure which will enable a client to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that provides users with the tools and solutions for promoting products directly to their customers and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is currently based in my capital city of London.
What are the benefits of using Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a couple of them previously.
For me, having A platform that is easy to use and one that does not require a huge amount of my time is of paramount significance.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. After my 2+ year Payhip experience, Here Is What I really like about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, and they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a customer makes a purchase, the money is immediately available on your accounts, and in case you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications each time a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale never gets older. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach for your phone, and see that you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all readily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the cash is available. That is Stripe though — Payhip doesn’t hold your money in any way.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me on is that there is no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Because, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it’s now, and I wasn’t positive that I was going to always sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger with a little audience, Payhip was the quickest solution that best match my situation.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That enables you to see transactions and earnings amounts relative to the day, month, week, year, or some other specified selection. Best of all, it is a to-the-point and really straightforward report.
If you’ve ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you’re instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless also. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is Promotions to run by creating coupon codes.
The codes may be for any percentage you would Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even permanently,) along with the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I’ve found this to be very helpful. Sometimes I will run a weekend marketing, post it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Sell Your Ebook
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the ability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you can award them a commission of whatever percent you’d like, someone purchases a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows Men and Women To sell your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be worth it and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap to.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
You’ll be, if you are into email marketing Able to incorporate Payhip along with your chosen email marketing supplier so that whenever a sale is made, the purchaser’s email address could be added into a selected list.
That is small but I think it’s Pretty cool so I want to give it a reference — if you so desire, you’ll have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address to the upper left corner of every page of a PDF document they’ve purchased.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Book make it publicly accessible for free they will have to be fine with their private email address being publicly available. I believe that’s a very creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload any kind of digital file. Font files, video/audio files, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can not be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your website looks. Individuals do not trust sites that look obsolete, myself included. If a site looks like it hasn’t been updated since the net 2.0 times, then I start to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned construction and placing my payment info to it would pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Site has a design. This is exactly what you would expect a checkout page by a company to look like if you should buy a product on the world wide web. Sell Your Ebook
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no self-promotion whatsoever.
Finally, what I actually like about Payhip is That they do not store customer payment info, meaning that your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is completely managed through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they’re big, successful companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t possess a mobile program. It’d be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I’m out and around, and take a look through my data. The site isn’t optimized for mobile devices, although you do so and may log in to the website.
I like Payhip, but this is a really Lousy appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you shouldn’t have a website optimized for mobile, and once you’ve got that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself right into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually sign in each time they would like to check sales data. Permit users of Payhip experience a better platform when they’re on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons In Checkout
On the checkout page, I would like to see an added ability to indicate Other products similar to what the client is about to purchase. If they are purchasing a bundle of logo templates for $5, then I propose, or might provide a bundle of business card templates for a few extra dollars. This is something which websites like VistaPrint and Amazon do very well.
I can not help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for myself and Payhip — without this functionality. This may enhance the Payhip experience for both the customer and the vendor.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Prefer to see it corrected.
Considering that Payhip is located in London, they have The working timezone for the site set to BST. Since I am located in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 earnings for the day because Payhip thinks it is midnight and its information reflects that.
This is a non-issue, but I Would love to observe that the capability to correct the website. Sell Your Ebook
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the coupon Code feature earlier, but it is not quite perfect just yet.
As it stands, the only advertising You can run via a voucher code. Ideally, I’d like to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a specified sale price.
At the moment, if I want to place a $27 merchandise On sale for $10, I must break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percent off will leave the last cost at $10. I believe that is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives including —
- Make your product private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a preview.
- Insert a limit number sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique for all your product/eBook revenue.
How much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing or even host your products. The website takes just 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a seller on Payhip, do you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a satisfied client, but whether you should use it depends on your own situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would recommend Payhip. In case you market a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know that you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you may want to check into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a flat fee of 5 percent of every sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 a month in total quantity, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you are selling well into the thousands, you want to decide on Gumroad or start looking into some other choice. This is all dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers so be sure to crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am thankful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sell Your Ebook
