Of all the ways of Creating Articles that is blog, my favorite Strategy is Such as learning design templates and materials, to make and sell products. I have found that it’s extraordinarily profitable than running ads from networks such as AdSense, and products convert at a much higher speed compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this can be Payhip, and in this article I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience as a seller for 2+ years. Sellfy
My Payhip Expertise
If you wanted to sell products Through your own site, you are going to want a way to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure that will allow a customer to select your goods, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that gives users with solutions and the tools for promoting electronic products straight to their customers and hosting online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of using Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a couple of them in the past.
For me, having A stage that is really simple to use and one that doesn’t require a massive amount of my time that is precious is of utmost importance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time because everything is taken care of on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from utilizing Payhip include –
- EU VAT is cared for, which is a huge plus in my book.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. Following my two year Payhip expertise, here’s what I really like about the ceremony…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card with Stripe, and they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is instantly available in your accounts, and if you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you’ll get notifications each time a sale happens. Sellfy
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets old. It’s also great to wake up in the morning, reach for your telephone, and also see that you made X number of dollars while you were sleeping, and it is all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your customers card using Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the cash is available. That is all Stripe however — Payhip doesn’t hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Fees
Among those things that Payhip initially sold me is that there’s no Monthly fees or installation charges — just a simple flat fee of 5 percent per sale.
This was appealing to me in 2016 Since, at the time, my readership was 1/10th of what it’s now, and I wasn’t positive that I was going to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a small audience, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you see transactions and earnings amounts relative to this day, week, month, year, or some other specified range. Best of all, it is a report.
If you have ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of data you’re instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it’s largely useless too. Payhip just provides you exactly what you’re there to view — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another advantage users of Payhip encounter is By creating coupon codes, promotions to conduct.
The codes can be for almost any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They can run for any length you want (or even permanently,) and the code itself can even be customized to whatever series of text you desire.
I have found this to be somewhat helpful. Occasionally I will run a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook raise the article targeting a pixel re-marketing audience and I never fail to go ROI positive with it. People do respond to limited time offers. Sellfy
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability to let your Readers register as an affiliate of your store, and if someone purchases a product you can grant.
This is useful since it allows other Men and Women To market your merchandise and should they have a stage and an audience of their own they can tap into, the commissions paid will be worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into email advertising, you will be Able to easily incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing provider so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added to a selected list.
This is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you’ll have Payhip stamp the purchaser’s email address into the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they’ve bought.
So if someone intends to Purchase Your PDF Publication make it available for free they’ll have to be okay with their personal email address being accessible as well. I believe that’s a means of deterring pirating.
Upload Many Kinds of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any sort of digital file. Font documents, video/audio files, photos, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You’re selling something is your site appears. Individuals do not trust myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated because the web 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I am in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information to it would pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That’s not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a layout that is very contemporary and easy. This is exactly what you’d expect a checkout page from a business to appear like, In the event that you should buy a digital product on the world wide web. Sellfy
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. In the moment a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial information (such as price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I enjoy about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment information, meaning your customers’ payment details are secure. The payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe, and I prefer it that way as they are successful companies with a lot of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I enjoy Payhip, it is far from perfect. Here are some things that I dislike about the service and would like to see improved…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They don’t have a app. It would be convenient to be able to start an app and take a look through my earnings data while I’m out and about. You do so and can log into the site, but the site isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Bad look in 2018. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a site optimized for mobile, and when you have that, you should be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own app so users don’t have to manually register in each time they want to inspect sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d really like to see an capability that is added to indicate Other products similar to what the customer is about to purchase. For example, if they’re purchasing a package of templates for $5, I could offer a package of business card templates or suggest some other product that could interest them they previously didn’t know about. This is something which sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do.
I can’t help but feel like there is a Great Deal of money being left on the Table — for both myself and Payhip — with no functionality. This could improve the Payhip encounter for both the seller and the client.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is largely frivolous, but I Prefer to see it fixed.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have BST was set to by the timezone for the website. Since I’m located in the EST, I will occasionally check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 sales for the day because Payhip believes it is midnight and its own information reflects that.
Again, this is a non-issue, but I Would like to see that the ability to adjust the website to your timezone. Sellfy
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not quite perfect yet, although code feature earlier.
As it stands, the sole promotion You can run via a coupon code. I’d love to have the ability to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I Need to put a $27 product On sale for $10, I have to break out the calculator and do the math to figure out what percentage off will render the cost at $10. I believe this is unnecessary and may be made better.
When creating A brand new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative options including —
- Make your merchandise private.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Upload a preview or sample pages.
- Insert a limit number sold.
- Create a license key that is unique for each of your product/eBook revenue.
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you nothing to set up or host your electronic products. The website takes just 5% commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a seller on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am very much a happy client, but whether you ought to use it depends upon your own situation.
If you are a blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ a month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. But if you know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month and sell a product or have a huge audience, you might want to look into something.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip functions On a flat fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be selling $1,000 per month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) prefer Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you’ll probably want to decide on Gumroad or look into another choice. This is all largely dependent on how many transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so be certain that you crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am really grateful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Sellfy
