Introduction Selling Digital Prints On Etsy
Of All of the ways of Creating content, my Strategy is To create and sell electronic products like studying layout templates and materials. I’ve discovered that it’s extraordinarily more profitable than running ads and self explanatory products convert at a much greater speed than an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be sharing what I like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience for a seller for 2+ years. My Payhip Expertise
If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own website, you are going to want a way to facilitate trades — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, pay for it, and also have it instantaneously delivered to them with complete hands-off automation. Payhip solves this issue.
What is Payhip?
Payhip is An that provides users with the tools and options for hosting and selling products straight to their clients online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
What are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform differs, and I have used a couple of them previously.
Having A platform that is simple to use and one that does not require a massive amount of my precious time is of paramount significance.
Payhip will Save you a great deal of time because everything is cared for on the Payhip platform.
The Benefits that I’ve gained the most from using Payhip comprise –
- EU VAT is taken care of, and it is a huge plus in my book.

What I Enjoy About Payhip
Let’s get to the details. Following my two year Payhip experience, Here Is What I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or from credit/debit card using Stripe, plus they do not cover monthly/weekly/quarterly or make you wait around for them to clear some sort of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your account, and in case you have the PayPal and also Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to receive notifications whenever a sale occurs. I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is new never gets old. In addition, it is good to awake in the morning, reach to your telephone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you were sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold before the cash is available. That is all Stripe though — Payhip does not hold your cash in any way.
No Monthly Fees
Among the things that Payhip initially sold me is that there is no Monthly fees or setup charges — only a simple flat fee of 5 percent per purchase .
This was appealing to me in 2016 Since, at the time, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee for a similar service like Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best fit my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you see transactions and earnings amounts relative to this day, month, week, year, or any other specified range. Best of all, it’s a very straightforward and to-the-point report.
If you have ever used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the amount of data you are instantly smacked in the face with can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of it is mostly useless too. Payhip just gives you exactly what you are there to see — sales data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is Promotions to run by creating coupon codes.
The codes can be Enjoy and for any (or all) products. They could run for whatever length you want (or even indefinitely,) and the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you would like.
I’ve found this to be useful. Occasionally I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, place it on Facebook boost the article targeting a pixel audience that is re-marketing and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Selling Digital Prints On Etsy
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip Provides you the capability to let your Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you are able to grant them a commission of whatever percent you’d like if someone buys a product with their customized affiliate link.
This is useful because it allows people To sell your merchandise for you, the commissions paid will be worthwhile, and should they have a stage and an audience of their own that they can tap into.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you are into marketing, you’ll be Able to incorporate Payhip with your preferred email marketing provider so that a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser could be added into a listing that is chosen.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a reference — if you desire, you can have Payhip postage the purchaser’s email address to the top left corner of each page of a PDF document they have purchased.
So if someone intends to buy your PDF Publication make it publicly available for free somewhere else, they’ll have to be fine with their email address being accessible as well. I think that’s a creative way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Kinds of Files
Payhip is a market for ebooks — It’s possible to upload any sort of digital file. Font documents, video/audio documents, photographs, software, etc..
Total Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your site appears. People generally don’t trust websites which appear obsolete, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been upgraded because the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if perhaps I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment information into it’d pretty much be just like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not true with Payhip though. The Website has a design. This is what you’d anticipate a checkout page from a company to look like if you were to purchase a merchandise on the world wide web. Selling Digital Prints On Etsy
Another thing that I enjoy about Payhip is its own In general simplicity. In the a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and only the crucial information (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your purchase — no.
Eventually, what I actually like about Payhip is That customer payment info isn’t stored by them, meaning your customers’ payment details are safe. The payment is totally managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they’re successful companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me around Payhip is that They don’t have a app. It’d be convenient to have the ability to open an app while I’m out and around, and have a look. You can log in to the site and do so, but the site isn’t optimized for mobile devices.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a really Lousy look in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a site optimized for cellular, and once you have that, you ought to be able to easily turn the website itself into it’s own app so users don’t need to manually sign in each time they want to inspect sales information. Permit users of Payhip experience a platform when they are on their devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I’d like to see an ability to suggest Other products similar to what the client is going to buy. If they are buying a bundle of logo templates for $5, I propose some other product that could interest them that they previously didn’t know about, or might provide a bundle of business card templates for a couple of bucks. This is something that sites like Amazon and VistaPrint do quite well.
I can’t help but feel like there is a lot of money Table — for myself and Payhip — without this operation. This could enhance the Payhip experience for both the client and the seller.
Set On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located at London, they’ve BST was place to by the working timezone for the entire site. Since I am found in the EST, I’ll sometimes check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I left 0 sales for the day because Payhip believes it is midnight and its own data reveals that.
Again, this is a non-issue, however I Would love to see the ability to correct the site to your own timezone. Selling Digital Prints On Etsy
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher Code feature but it’s not quite perfect.
As it stands, the promotion You’re able to run via a voucher code is for a percent off. I’d like to be able to offer a dollar amount to set a sale price.
Right Now, if I Need to put a $27 product On sale for $10, do the math to figure out what percent off would leave the cost at $10 and I have to break out the calculator. I believe this is unnecessary and could be made better.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your product private.
- Add an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) for your eBook.
- Upload sample pages or a few preview.
- To how many copies of your product or eBook could be Insert a limit amount sold.
- Generate a license key that is unique for all your product/eBook sales.
How much does this cost?
Payhip will Cost you or even host your electronic products. The site takes just 5 percent commission per trade fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after two + years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Overall, yes. I am a satisfied customer, but whether or not you should use it depends upon your own situation.
If you’re a blogger with a small audience And you can not justify spending $10+ per month to get something such as Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. But in case you sell a product that is high-ticket or have a huge audience and know you’ll be doing at least $ 1,000 in sales each month, you may want to look into something.
As of the date of the writing, Payhip works On a set fee of 5% of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is now 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you are going to be promoting less than $1,000 a month in total volume, the mathematics should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you’re selling into the thousands, you’ll probably need to go with Gumroad or start looking into some other alternative. This is mostly dependent on the number of transactions it requires to reach those sales numbers, however, so make certain to crunch the numbers on your own.
Personally, I love the Payhip Expertise and am thankful for their services. I want to see them continue to grow and succeed. Selling Digital Prints On Etsy
