Background Where To Sell Products
Of all the ways of monetizing blog content, my favorite method is To make and sell products. I have discovered that it’s extraordinarily rewarding than running advertisements from networks such as AdSense, and self explanatory products convert at a significantly greater rate compared to an affiliate product that somebody else created. The support I use to ease this is Payhip, and in this article I’ll be sharing what I both like and dislike about the service based on my Payhip experience for a seller for two + years. Where To Sell Products

If you’ve ever wanted to sell products Through your own website, you are going to need a means to facilitate transactions — some kind of infrastructure which will enable a customer to select your product, cover it, and also have it immediately delivered to them with whole hands-off automation. Payhip solves this problem.
Payhip is An e-commerce platform/website that gives users with options and the easiest tools for hosting and promoting products to their customers online.
The Provider Was co-founded by Abs Farah and Kahin Farah and is now based in my capital city of London.
Which are the advantages of utilizing Payhip?
Each online Platform is different, and I have used a few of them in the past.
For me, having A stage that is so easy to use and one that does not take a massive amount of my time is of paramount significance.

What I Like About Payhip
Let’s get to the information. After my two + year Payhip experience, Here Is What I love about the service…
Payments Are Instantaneous
Payhip let’s your customers pay with PayPal Or by credit/debit card with Stripe, plus they don’t pay out monthly/weekly/quarterly or force you to wait for them to clear some kind of holding period. When a client makes a purchase, the money is immediately available in your accounts, and in case you’ve got the PayPal and Stripe programs installed on your mobile device, you are going to get notifications whenever a sale occurs. Where To Sell Products
I happen to appreciate this. The excitement of Seeing a sale that is brand new never gets older. It’s also good to awake in the morning, reach to your phone, and see you made X amount of dollars while you’re sleeping, and it’s all easily available for you to spend. The only caveat to this is Stripe. If your clients card with Stripe, there will be a three day hold until the cash is available. This is Stripe however — Payhip does not hold your cash at all.
No Monthly Charges
One of the things that Payhip originally sold me is that there is no Monthly charges or installation charges — only a simple flat fee of 5% per purchase .
This was attractive to me in 2016 Since, at the moment, my readership was less than 1/10th of what it is now, and I wasn’t positive I was likely to consistently sell enough product to justify paying a monthly fee to get a similar service such as Gumroad. As a relatively new blogger having a little crowd, Payhip was the no-risk solution that best match my scenario.
Simple To Know Analytics
Payhip’s back end offers an analytics page That lets you see trades and earnings quantities relative to this day, month, week, year, or any other specified range. On top of that, it’s a report.
If you used Google Analytics or Facebook analytics, the number of information you’re immediately smacked in the face can be somewhat overwhelming, and lots of it is largely useless too. Payhip just provides you what you’re there to view — revenue data. Nothing more, nothing less.
Run Promotions with Coupon Codes
Another benefit users of Payhip experience is The ability to conduct promotions by creating coupon codes.
The codes can be for almost any percentage you’d Like and for any (or all) products. They could run for any length you want (or even indefinitely,) along with the code itself may even be customized to whatever string of text you desire.
I have found this to be somewhat helpful. Sometimes I’ll conduct a weekend promotion, post it on Facebook boost the article targeting a pixel audience and I don’t fail to go ROI positive by it. People do respond to limited time offers. Where To Sell Products
Your Own Affiliate Program
Payhip gives you the ability Readers sign up as an affiliate of your shop, and you are able to grant them a commission of whatever percent you would like, if someone buys a product using their custom affiliate link.
This is useful since it allows Men and Women To sell your merchandise and if they have a platform and an audience of their own that they can tap into, the commissions paid will be worth it.
Easy Integration with Email Marketing
If you’re into advertising, you will be Able to easily incorporate Payhip along with your email marketing supplier that is preferred so that whenever a purchase is made, the email address of the purchaser can be added into a listing.
That is minor but I think it’s Pretty cool so I wish to give it a mention — if you desire, you can have Payhip stamp the buyer’s email address to the upper left corner of each page of a PDF document they have bought.
So if someone plans to Purchase Your PDF Publication subsequently make it publicly accessible for free somewhere else, they will need to be okay with their email address being publicly available. I believe that’s a way of deterring pirating.
Upload Most Sorts of Files
Payhip is a marketplace for ebooks — You can upload just about any kind of file. Font documents, video/audio documents, photos, software, etc..
Overall Simplicity and Modern Design
One thing that can’t be overlooked whenever You are selling something is your site appears. People don’t trust websites which look outdated, myself included. If a website looks like it has not been updated since the net 2.0 times, then I begin to wonder if maybe I’m in an abandoned construction and putting my payment info to it’d pretty much be like throwing my money into a black hole.
That is not the case with Payhip though. The Website has a simple and very contemporary design. This is exactly what you would expect a checkout page from a business to look like, In the event that you should buy a merchandise on the internet. Where To Sell Products
Another thing that I like about Payhip is its own Overall simplicity. From the second a visitor lands on your product page, Payhip stays out of the way. They display your images, sales copy, and just the critical info (like price.) They do nothing to interfere with your sale — no.
Finally, what I really like about Payhip is That they don’t store customer payment info, meaning your clients’ payment details are safe. The payment is managed through Stripe or PayPal, and I prefer it this way as they are large companies with lots of cash.
What I Dislike About Payhip
As much as I like Payhip, it’s far from perfect. Here are some items that I dislike about the service and would like to see enhanced…
No Mobile App
1 thing that bugs me about Payhip is that They do not have a mobile program. It’d be convenient to be able to start an app while I am out and around and have a look. You can log in to the site and do so, but the website is optimized for mobile devices.
I enjoy Payhip, but this is a very Lousy appearance in 2018. There’s no reason you should not have a website optimized for cellular, and when you’ve got that, you should be able to easily turn the site itself right into it’s own program so users do not need to manually register in every time they would like to check sales information. Users of Payhip encounter a better platform when they are on their mobile devices.
No Upsells or Add-Ons At Checkout
On the checkout page, I would like to see an capability to suggest Other products. If they are buying a bundle of templates for $5, I might provide a package of business card templates to get a couple of extra dollars, or propose. This is something that websites like Amazon and VistaPrint do well.
I can’t help but feel as though there is a Great Deal of money Table — for both myself and Payhip — without this operation. This could enhance the Payhip encounter for both the vendor and the customer.
Establish On A Fixed Timezone
This one is frivolous, but I Like to see it corrected.
Since Payhip is located in London, they have The functioning timezone for the entire website set to BST. Since I am found in the EST, I will sometimes check my stats at 7PM or afterwards and see that I made 0 earnings for the day since Payhip thinks it’s midnight and its own information reflects that.
Again, this is largely a non-issue, however I Would love to see that the ability to correct the site to your own timezone. Where To Sell Products
More Flexibility with Coupon Codes
I know I raved about the voucher It is not perfect, although Code attribute earlier.
As it now stands, the advertising You’re able to run via a coupon code is to get a percent off. I’d like to be able to supply a dollar amount to set a sale price that is specified.
At the moment, if I Need to place a product that is $27 Available for $10, I have to break out the calculator and manually do the math to figure out what percent off would render the last price at $10. I think this is unnecessary and could be improved.
When creating A new product in Payhip, you also have access to innovative alternatives which include —
- Make your merchandise personal.
- Insert an ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) to your eBook.
- Publish a few sample or preview pages.
- Add a limitation amount to how many copies of your product or eBook could be sold.
- Create a license key that is unique for all your product/eBook revenue.
Just how much does it cost?
Payhip will Cost you to set up or host your electronic products. The site takes only 5 percent commission per transaction fee.
Would I Recommend Payhip?
This leaves us with the burning question: after 2+ years as a vendor on Payhip, would you recommend it? Total, yes. I am a happy client, but whether you should use it depends upon your situation.
If you are a new blogger with a small audience And you can’t justify spending $10+ per month to get something like Gumroad, then yes, I would absolutely recommend Payhip. If you sell a merchandise that is high-ticket or have a massive audience and know you’ll do at least $ 1,000 in sales every month, you may want to look into something most cost-efficient.
As of the date of this writing, Payhip functions On a set fee of 5 percent of each sale. Gumroad’s fee is currently 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction + $10 per month.
If you’re going to be promoting less than $1,000 a month in total quantity, the math should (typically ) favor Payhip. But if you are selling into the thousands, you need to go with Gumroad or look into some alternative. This is all largely dependent on the number of transactions it requires to achieve those sales numbers though, so make sure that you crunch the numbers.
Personally, I love the Payhip Experience and am really grateful for their solutions. I would like to see them continue to grow and succeed. Where To Sell Products
